today local students took a field trip that was out of this world..well sort of. high school and middle school students toured the doerfer wheelift headquarters in waterloo, where work being done right here in iowa...is having a big impact for nasa. kwwl's lauren moss was there, she joins us now live with more the work hereen iowa is reely remarkable. they make transporters to put together nasa rockets. today, the company, nasa officials and a local astronaut... talked to students.. proving that iowa kids can make a pretty big differencc in this world, and beyond. when you think of iowa...nasa may not be the first ceo- "nasa has indicated that they've started interviewing some of the universities in iowa pretty fun to be on the leading edge of that." it's called a wheelift trrsporter, madeeright here in iowa. ceo-we make transporters that assemble their new rockets which are the deep space program that ultimately we think will take human beings to mars one day."
