agent organe from vietnam. so this project has been a great chance for her to honor him alongside every other veteran. the project based on this photo of wayne burk and the first chopper he flew in vietnam. he was shot down in that one, but his second one is now permanentley on display in dubuque. luedtke spent a total of 18 hours working on this paint job. she says it was a great way to remember her dad. painter) "i felt so connected to him it's not even funny. lots of tears while trying to paint at the same time and making sure that you can make it as accurate as possible because it means something to that pilot that you get this the way they saw it and done it to begin with." luedtke used oil paint for the project, which she says will last for 15 to 20 yes. the pilot of this chopper, burk, was actually shot down a total of four

he'll be in dubuque to speak at the veteran's day celebration next month. we've got you covered live here in dubuque, brad hanson...kwwl news. the co-pilot and one other servicemember will also be in attendance on veteran's day. police are looking into a burglary at a home that caught fire just days ago. the house is on linden avenue and it's where 64-year- old rebecca lavenz died in a fire. police say on thursday, a relative discovered the home was burglarized overnight. according to waterloo police, the burglary took place between 5 p-m on wednesday and 1 p-m thursday. no arrests have been made. nine employees have been fired or resigned due to an investigation into security breaches at a iowa prison. four former tower guards at anamosa state penitentiary were charged for allegedly smuggling cell phones and drugs into the prison. since the charges were

announced, the other five guards have departed. those five aren't charged with criminal activity but serious violations were found. three men accused of attacking a wisconsin restaurant owner, were allegedly out drinking with the victim earlier in the evening before the alleged attack -- this according to our coverage partners at t-h media... these three men, in prairie du chien working on the railroad, are charged with battery and burglary... they're accused of severely beating the restaurant owner, young su kim, and stealing money from his restaurant. kim suffered severe brain and head trauma from the attack... cedar rapids police are investigating a report of shots fired near the kirkwood community college campus. police were called to the college park apartments at around 10:30 a.m. police say nothing was hit and no one was injured. neighborhoods -- hit by vandals... all went down in the northwest part of cedar rapids. kwwl's hillary maglin was in that neighborhood today. hillary - what did you find out?
