the clouds continue to decrease across eastern iowa. this is as high pressure builds in from the est. the coldldfront is well off to the east. here is future track, showing the clouds continuing to track off to the east. we will be left witt clear skies tonight as high pressure builds in. that will really calm our winds down after sunset, and that will allow those temperature to drop into the middle 30s. tomorrow, high pressure tracks east, we see a southerly wind, so that will bring us slightly warmer temperatures than whattwe saw today, along with the sunshine. and tomorrow night we will start of mostly clear, before seeing a few more clouds track into the area on monday.

we saw some beneficial rain across eastern iowa yesterday, into very early this morning. generally we saw a quarter to half an inch, with some locally higher amounts. you can check out the rainfall totals on schnack's blog at kwwl dot com on the weather page r all the totals. but, we really needed the rain. here's a look at the month of october as far as rainfall totals go. you can see we are still sitting below average, but we a a definitely doing better than where we were just one week ago, where we had the red flag warning for much of the area. there are stitil many areass across the kwwl viewing area under the burn ban until further notice. no outdoor burning allowed. here's
