for tuning in i am here with festive time of year, and we are making a pumpkin chex mix this morning. if you are going to a halloween party or not, this is such a perfect can't really have a fall without pumpkin in iowa. so we are combining the two, and i am going to show you how simple it is to make. so the first thing you need is about six cups of chex cereal. you can use any assortment you want, i usually use 2 cups of the rice, it less sweet you can leave the honey nut out. for more health benefits, you can add more wheat and i actually really like the wheat. the wheat ones are not gluten free, but most chex cereals are. so in could add any nut you want. but to me pecans are very

dried cranberries, and as always, i am using the 50% less sugar cranberries. this is my favorite part of the recipe, i usually put about half a cup in seeds. i just like this kind, they are kind of green, and add a nice color contrast. ok, so of people might not want to use butter, but it's really not a lot with this whole recipe. we are going to add some canned pumpkin, it's just the plain

pumpkin pie filling. some brown sugar and some pumpkin pie spice, and like i've said before i like to add my spices to the vanilla extract and i usually just eyeball it. and then what ingredients, and when i cook this i actually put it in a slow cooker without the lid on, on low, for about 2 hours. because when i put chex mix in the oven, i get impatient and i turn the temperature up and it burns so easily especially with the sweetness. and when you burn chex mix, there's no coming back from that! so with the crockpot, if you are having peope over, you get the smell walk in the door. and nothing is going to say fall quite like this smell coming out of your crockpot. so once it's in the crockpot, how
