"he loved being a waterloo cop." it was that passion that got officer liddle hired in the first place. chief trelka "i've hired a lot of cops. i never hired a cop that impressed me. his tenasity impressed me and then when we did hire him, his tenacity showed on the job." that passion - - making

him a cop who didn't give up hartman "not only did officer liddle protect the waterloo community, but he also spent get more involved and i think that drove his passion to be a cop more; just being involved in fire fighting and ems and serving his community." his sudden death at the age of 35 has shocked those who knew him well. downtown waterloo. nikki you spoke to moe sed's father today. yes, he was at today's search for his son. he says he appreciates the community support and has to believe he's still alive. this morning moe sed's family, teachers, classmates, police, and community members came together to look for him. they were talking to people, businesses, and handing out missing persons flyers. moe sed's family says he's shy, quiet, and speaks accented english. they say they are grateful for the support. "i put the faith in god's hands and if god touch his heart he'll come home and for now i heard nothing so i don't know." i also spoke to moe sed's teachers today. they say it's hard when the kids at school ask where he is and they continue to see his empty desk. please

moe sed's disability may make it tough to communicate or ask for help. we've got you covered live in downtown waterloo nikki newbrough kwwl news. there will be a prayer service for moe sed on sunday at five o'clock. it will be at the first baptist church in waterloo. a man is arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a minor. the fayette county sheriff's office arrested scott franzen on wednesday. franzen was arrested and taken to the fayette county jail. if convicted, he could face up to ten years in prison and ten following a gas explosion from a furnace -- a family asks for help after losing everything. this was the scene monday afternoon on maple street in janesville. according to witnesses -- the explosion was so great -- it blew the home off the foundation -- and

kwwl's macleod hageman talks with the family about their loss. mac -- what are emotions like tonight? amanda/ron -- even though melanie kammeyer is relieved her boyfriend and three dogs are all right -- she's says she's devastated she lost her childhood home. melanie says her boyfriend michael walked outside moments before the explosion -- but two of her three dogs were inside. she says the two dogs only experienced a few bumps and scrapes. even though the home was insured -- she's not sure if they will rebuild. so, it's just a matter a matter of getting sort of normalcy right now. because living in a hotel room with three dogs is no fun." right now -- melanie says she's trying to find a place to rent that accepts pets. even though the home was insured through melanie's mom -- she's asking for help to get through the process.

and a go-fund me account has been set up to help with the process. we've got you covered live in thanks mac. at last count -- nearly 200 bucks has been raised to help melanie. a man is found guilty in a shooting of an acquaintance. roderick ward junior was found guilty of second degree murder on thursday. he was initially charged with first degree murder. prosecutors say ward killed 27- year-old gary wilson in 2014. according to prosecutors, ward followed wilson outside ward's house after arguing, and then shot him several times. wilson was taken to a hospital, where he later died. a man who shot at police during an incident in april, is now in custody. jovan webb was arrested in davenport on several arrest warrants. the incident in april involved two waterloo police officers shooting at a car, driven by webb, after webb ran his car into an officer. the shooting took place in the parking lot of the "new world lounge
