says, they responded to a dorm fire early this morning... the fire started on the ninth floor of slater r esidence hall on grand avenue. good news here: everyone got out of the building safely... while crews contained the fire to a single room. once again -- no one was hurt in the fire that broke out around 1:: this morning on iowa's campus. a man shot at.. by police, is taken into custody on multiple arrest warrants. davenprt police arreuting jovan webb and charging him with assault on a peace officer while ussg a dangerous weapon. you may remember, authorities say webb struck a waterloo police sergeant multiple times with his vehicle outside the new world lounge two in waterloo back in arpipi. resppnding officerr fired at the vehicle as webb took off. after a full investigation -- it was determined the officers actions were justified in the incident. a semi collides with a horse and buggy -- killing one driver. it happened on ice avenue south of 2

authorities say the buggy was on the shoulder -- when the semi the semi to collide with it. the 77 year old driver of the buggy was killed at the scene. the crash remains under at this time. the search continues for a missing teen in astern iowa this weekend... moe sed was last seen at his waterloo home a week ago, thursday... t& the waterloo west high school student is a refugee from burma. his family, as you can imagine.. is worried because moe has special needs and is in need of his medicine. on friday his family, classmates, police, and community members came together to look for him. they were talking to people, busisisses, and handing out missing persons flyers. moe's family says he's shy, quiet, and speaks little english. they say they are grateful for the support. "i put the faith in god's hands and if god touch his heart he'll come home and for now iiheard nothing so don't know." his teachers say it's hard when the kids at school ask where he is

they c cntinue to see his empty desk. if you have any information please contact police. a bus driver is accused of attacking a 15- year-old boy with a mental disability on the bus..and it's all caught on camera. police arresting robert scar-brough after students told a sheriff deputy about the incident. he's now facing charges of assault causing bodily injury anan child endangerment. aaron brillbeck has the story, this morning. the kids got off the bus when theyeyaw a polk county sheriff's deputy parked near-by and reported the incident. "we just got off the bus. maybe just said the f-word to everybody. just cussed. he didn't care. this was the school bus driver? yeah. he just cussed at us. he didn't care. he was slless." s/ lieutenant lynn aswegan, johnston police department "he was denying that he assaulted the student. but the indication that an assault did occur." the 61-year old scarbrough is charged with child endangerment and assault causing injury. his future with the district is also in question.. s/ laura sprague, johnston community schools "was he fired? hhs on administrative leave. what does that mean? it means that he is say he's on administrative leave." parents here at johnston middle school where the child is a student...were shocked when we showed them this video.

"he's sweet. but sometimes he gets influenced by other people so he can't control what he says..and it's not his fault per se to me. it just, it broke me. now i'm afraid to ride a bus. i can't even look at it the same way." the school is now offering counseling for students affected by the incident. they say the dririr passed all background checks and training... and no one has complained of him being violent in the past. an eastern iowa police department is moutning the loss of one of their

n this weekend... waterloo police officer adam liddle - a three year veteran of the waterloo police department - died suddenly thursday while off-duty. the cause of his death is unclear at this time. he leaves behind a wife and ten-year-old son. the waterloo police department -- showing their respect with black sashes over their shields. liddle had been on the force for three years - and worked closely with the violent crime apprehensionnteam. popoice chief dan trelka says it was his passion for the job.. that's so memorable. chief trelka "i've hired a lot of cops. i never hired a cop that impressed me. his tenasity impressed me and then when we did hire him, his tenacity showed on n he job." police are working to determine if to circumstances of stress during his last shift wednesday night... a hotel in eastern iowa is known for having guests who never leave...legend is -- it's haunted by ghosts.

in san marcos, texas, flood water rose so quickly it surrounded a school with everyone to another, dryer school using an armored military vehicle. scenes like this playing out across texas, especially in the busy i- 35 corridor between austin and san antonio.
