being hit by a car on university avenue. it happened at about ne o'clock this s orning -- lees than a week after a woman died when she stepped in front of a car on university. you can see both locations right here on this map. thii is what polii are telling g us about what happened this morning. they say a man darted out into traffic east of the university -- midway drive intersection -- before he was hit. they believe he will survive. they say he has some broken bones. at this point, we don't know anything about the driver -- or why the man ran out into traffic. last week, about a block away, a woman died after steppivg in a car on university. cedar falls police say terry harp trieie to cross univvrsity just east of the cedar heights drive intersection when she was hit by a car. now to decision 2015: lots of votes, a late night... but still no decisioioin two big ces for mayor. both are headed for a runoff.

50-percentof the vote in wateloo to take over for buck clark, there will be anooher vote. here are the results: the top voter- getter is mayor pro-tem, quentin hart, followed by a former mayor, tim hurley. so hart and hurley, will be on the barlot again in a unoff electitin on december 1st. here's a look at how the other three candidates did. leah morrison with 24-percent of the vote. she came up just a bit short. hart says if he ultimately wis, he wants safer streets, and that includes building that trust between law enforcement and the community. as for tim hurley he says although he wanted to wrap up the election on tuesday -- he wasn't surprised with the results. if he wins the runoff election, he agrees with hart about stopping he violence. he suggests working with want to help. "i think today was an excellent showing that the community wants thankful and blessed for te outpouring and showing of support that we received today." "as i said in my heart i'd hope

there were key votes acrosk the country as well. in kentucky, voters elect republican governor for just the second time in almost five decades. matt bevin is an army veteran and business owner who had never held an electedoffice until no. he promiseddto pass a right to work law, create a school voucher program and scale back the state's medicaid expansion. the plan to legalize recreational marijuana in ohio goes up in smoke. voters said no. reid binion has reaction. "this was, folks, the first step to legalization. we're not going away. (applause) we're not going away." here is addtional forecast information from the kwwl stormtrack 7 weather team: it will be breezy for the next couple of days as a system tracks through the midwest. this morning, we are starting the day with areas of fog... visibilities have been down to a mile in a few areas this morning although our stormtrack7 live weather network will show some fog, but others won't have much at all. temperatures remain mild this morning... in the upper 40s to mid 50s in our viewing area and into the upper 50s in southwest iowa. southerly winds are 5 to 15 mph and will be breezy today th gusts to 25 mph or higher at times. the only clouds in the area are the fog... they will cause some headaches this morning and will stick around long enough to keep our temps a few degrees cooler than with complete sunshine all day, but the main thing we are watching is the system to the west... this will
