"the acceptable contaminents level is 10 parts per million, and the levels came back 10.7 parts per million" after a heavy rain in terloo thursday, waterloo waterworks

donald was stabbed as she was walking out of the marion hy-vee in the middll of the afternoon in april... it's the first homicide in marion in seven years. prosecutors showing evidence in court friday -- including the murder weapon, a notebook full of his plans -- as well as video of the incident. meanwhilele-- the defense re-stated their claim that luerkens was suffering from a mental disorder at the time of the murder and could not control his actions. decided that his purpose in life was to kill lynnsey donald. he "nnk's pain and the killing of lynnsey, i submit to you, were the result of a mind that has become sick and impaired, and made nick unrecognizable." prosecutors say luerkens tried take his own fe after thh stabbing because he didnt want to go to jail... proving he knew his actions were wrong. jurors will resume their discussion on monday. authorities now say a man was

attempting to kill himself, during an explosion at a local motel. 43-year-old matthew ferleman suffered severe injuries and later died area hospital. investigators say he blew out the pilot light on a gas applicance at the shady rest motel in ceddr falls last month in at attempt to take his own life. he then attempted to light a cigarette the next morning -- causing the explosion. autopsy result show he died from thermal injuries in the explosion. a trial is delayed for a man accused of fatally shooting a 23-year-old 26-year-old james ernst the second requesting a continuance to better prepare for a hearing. auauorities say he shot orintheo campbell junior following a fight in waterloo last december. campbell later died at the hospital of multiple gunshot wounds, ernst's trial is now set for january19th. the iowa attorney general's office determining a trooper's actions were justified in a recent officer- involved shooting. a trooper shot at a vehicle driven by 27-year-old tiffany reed last

month iwashington county. reed was arrested at a gas station following a car chase... she's already been arrested multiple times. each of her arrests -- she has looked visibly different wiwih a newwairstyle and color in every picture before that shooting -- reed was identified as a suspect in this theft from the von maur in cedar falls. authorities say she was one of the three people ripping 55 undred dollars worth of clothes off the rack and then running out the store. the other woman in this video was also a suspect in the police chase. a local teenager is s till missing -- more than two weeks after he disappeared. family, friends, classmates, and achers are searching his favorite places. they also handed out flyers to hang up at businesses. his high school -- waterloo west-- is also doing its part in the search -- putting up posters throughout the building. his teachers say tudents ask about him all the time. and for the last two weeees, they've
