witnessed in france since world war two. during tonight's democratic debate in des moines -- candidates say they'll be focussing heavily on the paris attacks -- and we hope to bring you more from them. new at six tonight -- firefighters are tryin to determine the cause of a house firir near richardsville. the fire sparked this afternoon -- and the homeowner tells us -- the fire likely started in a bedroom. nobody was injured -- inclung two puppies inside the home. it appears the home is a total loss -- and he cause remaiai under investigation. now to continuing coverage -- the search for a missing teen gains momentum in waterloo. moe sed has been missing for more than three wewes. he is a refugee from burma and a student at waterloo west high school. today -- volunteers organized another search fr the missing teen. kwwl's jessica hartman joined the group -- canvasing the cedar valley. jessica -- where were they looking? today the search was expanded to

the vast trail system in the cedar valley and local parks. dozens of volunteers gathered in downtown waterloo before spliting off into small groups to cover 10 local parks and trail systems. they were looking for signs of unusal activity on the trails, evidence of moe sed, and for his bike - which has one blue and one orange rim. friends say moe sed spent a lot of time outdoors. catherine wager "he really enjoyed fishing in those areas anan riding his bike and being out in the woods. i think, probably, it reminded him of his home in thailand." the groups did not find any answers where moe sed went or why he hasn't come home. giving up -- and will continue to search until they have answers. we've got you covered live in the newsroom...jessica hartman kwwl news. thank you jessica -- and if you havvany information on moe

an appearance. dubuque's lgbt community came out for a night of celebration. it was for..."an evening with the stars,"...with a surprise guest appearance by reality -tv star "keeping up with the kardashians," ....and for being an olympic champ...jenner revealed her gender transition earlier this year. she was in town to raise awareness about dubuque's transgender community. "caitlyn is probably the most well-kkown transgender person on the planet. to get your point across, to people who aren't aware of transgender people in the transgender community here at the event -- jenner chatted and mingled with fans. she also posed for pictures. advocates say inviting jenner is a good way to get the word out about the trans community here in dubuqu...especiall y since it's a small town. that causes some trans people to not be out in the open.

thanks to a southerly wind. sunday will be similar to the weather we had today. we'll start the day with a mostly sunny sky, but we will see e n increase innhe clouds later in the afternoon and evening. this is ahead of our next storm system that brings us a chance for rain as we head into the start of the work week. here are a look a a the current temperatures across eastern iowa. we have some pretty comfortable temperatures for this time of year. temperatures are in the 50s across any areas, with a few areas already dropping into the upper 40s. the wind is much lighter than what it was the last couple of days. we have a wind light out of the south, and that has kept our temperatures a little warmer than average, and we will continue that trend over the neet couple of days. eastern iowa. w w had a few high clouds passing through today, and that made for a with a mostly clear sky throughout the overnight hours. storm track seven satellite and radarshows the clouds tracking through the area earlier this afternoon and early evening. however, those have tracked out of the area so we are left with a clear sky all across

33-thousand dollars was raised for the event. kia recalls thousands of cars -- and the company is warning drivers there may be a problem with steering controls. south korea's second-argest automaker announced it was recalling 260- thousand kia souls today. kia says the adhesive used to secure the steering pinion gear may not be strong enough. if it fails -- the pinion gear could sepate -- and drivers would lose cctrol of the car. the souls being recalled were made in 20-14 and 20-15. the company says there have been five cars claiming to have the problem -- but no reports oo any accidents or injuries. and we'll be right back
