an appearance. dubuque's lgbt community came out for a night of celebration. it was for..."an evening with the stars,"...with a surprise guest appearance by reality -tv star "keeping up with the kardashians," ....and for being an olympic champ...jenner revealed her gender transition earlier this year. she was in town to raise awareness about dubuque's transgender community. "caitlyn is probably the most well-kkown transgender person on the planet. to get your point across, to people who aren't aware of transgender people in the transgender community here at the event -- jenner chatted and mingled with fans. she also posed for pictures. advocates say inviting jenner is a good way to get the word out about the trans community here in dubuqu...especiall y since it's a small town. that causes some trans people to not be out in the open.
