our top story this morning:a standoff in waterloo, a late- night standoff has ended peacefully. officers were called to a home on eridan road. a man was threatening to hurt himself. police blocked off the area as they tried to tal to the man. officers say they don't believe he threatened anyone else. e situation ended with police taking him to the hospital for treatment. brand new information this morning: the suspected mastermind of the paris attacks has been identified as a belgian. alss-- other attackers have been identified. tracie potts tells us how americans are remembering the victims of friday's attacks -- including obe of our own. "really big shock, and it really hurts me that this happened." this vigil in california overnight for 23- year-old nohemi gonzales, the only american known to

have died in the paris attacks. across the nation, support - from new york - to the french embassy - to the u-s capitol and boston: "we stand with paris." amid more security at football games and nascar: the u-s is promising to step up its game against isis. "clearly there's going to have to be an intensification of our efforts." france sent dozen warplanes, hitting multiple isis targets in syria. at the g-20 summit, president obama talked with russia's vladmir putin and he's urging more allies to get on board. "the killing of innocent people based on twisted idelology is an attack not just on france, not just on turkey, but o o the civilized world." back home, lawmakers are demanding more: "we cannot contain isis - we have to destroy them." blaming intelligence failures: "unless that change

strategically, we can expect more attacks like this." and presidential candidates are weighing in: "we should declare war." "we need to wage a counter-war against them utilizing social media." her husband, former president bill clinton. bernie sanders is also in iowa campaigning. he says the u-s needs help fighting isis -- from russia and iran. "i think we have to bring common enemy here, an enemy that and my view is that people have got to get boots on the ground." sanders is also linking climate change to terrorism -- and he says the defense department and c-i-a both feel the same way. a police shooting in minnesota leads to a protest. some are outraged. others are calling for patience. police were called to investigate an assault -- when something happened between officers and the suspect. an officer fired his gun -- killing the suspect. some witnesses claim the suspect wa in handcuffs when he was shot -- but police deny that. "these investigations take time would ask everybody to work with us."

10 days from thanksgiving and some of you have your shopping list set. we've heard some questions about turkey supply. producers say there's no need to worry ...as long as you're willing to pay more. chris clackum fills us in. news stories from food banks across the country...set this year. the stories blame the outbreak of avian flu in april seven million turkeys were lost... although the individual producers in a few of the states.. but in tamping down concern over the flu, the national turkey federation's keith williams... ... also told us o a standard practice in turkey production ...that most consumers probably don't realize: frozen turkeys...which most americans prefer .. buying them a week or so before every thanksgiving.... are actually frozen the previous march. "when the turkey comes from the farm, it's taken to be packaged.it's s eadied and sealed up, and it is then flash frozen down to 0 degrees" that

means this year's frozen turkeys were already in cold storage a month before the flu outbreak. however...the u-s agriculture department's still predicting that because of the outbreak...turkey prices might jump as much as 20-pepecent this thanksgiving. chris clackum, nbc news. however, there are other reports this morning showing turkey prices might not go up at all... so we'll have to wait and see how this all plays out at the store. the iowa hawkeyes will be spending eir thanksgivng in nebraska -- and they could be going for a perfect reelar season. iowa will need to get y purdue first this weekend. the hawks are now 10-and-oh for the first time ever after beating minnesota 40 to 35 at kinnick on saturday night.

so what do you tip? it could depend on how old you are. a new n-b-c news poll finds young people are more generous... even when the service isn't very good. about two in tennsurveyed -- betweee 18 and 24 years old -- say they would tip 20 percent or more. 62 percent are willing to tip at least 15 percent -- even if the service doesn't measure up. that was the highest of any age
