night at ray's supermarket on franklin street... the clerk was not hurt... & we don't know about the suspect because he ran off. police do not believe the suspect took anything from the store. new details have emerged in a shooting we first told you about last night... a man is in the hospital after being shot in the chest. it also happened just before ten near 8th and leavitt streets in waterloo. police tell us the man is expected to survive -- and say he's been relatively coorative with them as they investigate. witnesses saw a car driving away from the scene but don't have a solid description of the car or suspects. a man who took his daughter from a home -- triggering an amber alert -- is sentenced to up to 71 years in prison. 49-year-old kenneth johns, of coralville, pleading guilty to two counts of child nangerment. kidnapping and other charges were dropped in the plea deal. johns admitted to taking his ten- year-old daughter from a solon home in march. he claims the girl's mother, shelly johns, was abusg her. shelly pleaded guilty to child
