stormtrack 7 weather team: welcome back and good evening, i'm meteorologist kyle kiel. we start you out with a few pictures. it's been a busy last twenty four to 30 hours with snow falling in eastern iowa. it's been our first snowfall of the season, and it happened to be a big one. there are many snowy scenes across the area. here is a look at some of the snowfall totals coming from the national weather service and our weather trackers. to the north, anywhere between 5 and 8 inches of snow. you can see where the heavier snow band set up, with many

getting nine to as high as 12 inches, that's a foot of snow. as we take you a little east, the dry air stayed a bit longer, so snow totals were cut back just a bit. as we go farther south, even less snow, with reports around 5 to 7 inches. fortunately, no snow is in the forecast tonight. however, i am keeping threat tracker in the yellow, just because it is going to be very cold, and there still could be some slick spots on the will be cold as well, with a partly cloudy sky, then we begin to warm up as we head into the day on monday. here's the current temperatures
