stolen from a local business around the fourth of july, have been found and returned. we first told you about this in july--two five hundred dollar flags stolen from envision tees in dubuque. police recovered them earlier this month during an unrelated investigation. kwwl's brad hanson getting a chance to talk to the owner once again. and brad, the timing couldn't be more perfect. the timing seems like it was out of a movie--envision's owner got the news about his flags on veteran's day.

and now those flags are back back." two giant american about five hundred dollars a piece, recovered by dubuque police earlier this month. and after hearing no good news for a few months, tom rauen had very little hope left. (tom rauen, envision owner) "in the back of my mind, i was hoping something would turn up somewhere, but at the same time, you know, who knows. i thought maybe someone would've grabbed them while passing through the state, and these could've been long gone in a different state." rauen says he's proud his products are american made, emotional getting it all

on veteran's day, and having it else that's going on in the winter will prevent him from hanging them outside, "so we're going to hang up one in our showroom to display, so everyone can see we're still proud to hang the flag and definitely fly it here." dubuque police won't say where the flags were found yet, because they were found as part of an ongoing investigation. they say that one should wrap up sometime this week. we've got you covered live from rauen also saying he plans to display them outside again, when the weather permits. a three-year-old boy is safe being found wandering the cold and snowy

streets alone..without any jacket or shoes. the boy was found at two in the morning in evansdale when it was just 24 degrees out -- the wind chill at 16. police say a man called in saying the boy was crying out for his mother. he brought the boy inside his home and wrapped him in blankets police say the mother was very frantic when they returned her son home...having no idea that he got out. the boy apparently didn't know his address but knew what his mother's car looked like so it's that time of year again... tons of volunteers coming together to feed more than six hundred people a thanksgiving meal the dinner, started by mike and leona adams, is a long standing tradition

meal kwwls olivia mancino was there... she joins us now live volunteers telling me tonight many of the people attending the dinner tonight not only can't afford to make a big dinner, but don't have anyone to be with during the holidays "happy holidays! you're welcome" a long-standing tradition, hundreds of people. "dad was like, he liked to help, and it always made him feel good, and whever we'd go home he'd talk for a few days after void that needed to be filled.. together with his wife, mike and leona adams started a thanksgiving tradition for those who needed it most. "they started it because of the

deere layoffs, then they had a "it was started 33 years ago, for people who were laid off from deere, and i was one of the ones who was laid off at that time" now, mcgowan and dozens of other volunteers spend hours every year preparing for the massive meal... its a huge undertaking...these hundreds of slices of pie give you a glimpse of how much food it takes to feed up to a thousand people. but volunteers are happy to do it... and families are happy to be on the receiving end. "we're raising three kids on our have a lot of money" "if we didnt have it a lot of guys would go without a thanksgiving meal its a win-win for everybody because when you eat good, you feel good and when you do good...you feel great. also something to keep in mind for next year-- there is also free haircuts and blood pressure checks, so they really go above and

it takes a team of dancers to keep up with crystal kuehl. "are we good?" but that wasn't the case stranger -- passed away from pancreatic cancer, crystal knew something was wrong. a dance instructor for cr spirits, she felt very weak. "i kept telling my mom, 'i can't keep dancing because i feel like the next three to six months of crystal's life was about saving her life. first came surgery to remove the tumors -- tumors that might have been growing inside her body for five years. then chemo. "we are so happy. she's young, she beat it, we have all a rare form similar to what steve jobs had. "this sucks." "it might sound crazy, but i eat

you start asking yourself all those things and why did i get this? i was a good person in high school." at 23 years old, you can understand if she feels that way all the time. but she doesn't. she doesn't have time to. days, but then you've got to suck it up don't feel good, but i'm still hanging in there and teaching my girls... and doing what i love." "the chemo is eating the skin off her feet. she's not losing her hair, but she can barely walk." but she will walk on... right down the aisle very soon. she's now planning a wedding. "1, 2, 3, 4" with a message of music, her -- and future patients. "i think that's our job, bringing awareness to this horrible cancer that is silent."
