kwwl's nikki newbrough joins us live in the newsroom with the details. nikki -- how are health centers trying to accomodate this problem? it's called telehealth. they're using technology, simular to skype or facetime, to allow patients to see these professionals in a timely manner. over at black hawk grundy mental health center, "i'm in hollywood, florida." she may be thousands of miles away, but with the help of something. they just seem less, you know just more open to say all sorts of things." this set up is called telehealth. it allows boling to work from home in florida while seeing people right here in iowa. it's helping people like rosie topping. topping's psychiatrist moved away from waterloo a while change psychiatrists. i want to to avoid people waiting six to eight months to see a

professional, they're turning to technology. "when you got people who psychiatrist in four to six months to me that's bad service. for boling she says it's not for everyone, but it sure helps many. head into the day monday. as for what's going on right now? storm track seven live doppler radar shows a dry sky across eastern iowa. there is some light rain or snow to the south of the viewing area, and that will be tracking away. we can't rule out a sprinkle or flurry to the south, but otherwise we will be dry across the area. putting the satellite over the radar, we have been under the clouds all day long, but there is some clearing to the west of interstate 35, and i do anticipate that will continue to be the trend throughout the overnight. as we take a wider view across the country, we've got that cold front stretching from new england all the way to the four corners regions. there has been a lot of rain from indianapolis, to saint louis, and even some icy conditions causing

major problems in oklahoma. as for us, our weather will be influenced by high pressure tracking in from the northwest. that means quiet conditions for the weekend. storm track seven live weather network shows a mostly cloudy sky across eastern iowa. it has been that way most of the day, and will continue through the evening hours. temperatures right now are in the upper twenties and lower 30s across the viewing area. are normal high ins in the upper 30s, so it's a little below average. the wind has been a bit breezy at times today out of the north from 10 to 15 miles per hour, so it's felt a bit more chilly as you step out the door , with wind chills in the teens and twenties. future track tonight shows a mostly cloudy evening.

injured during a shooting at a colorado springs planned parenthood. according to police -- they responded tothe incident after 11-30 today. witnesses say when officers arrived -- the gunman started shooting. here is a live look at the scene in colorado springs... you can see emrgency vehicles with a few officers in the foreground. at last word -- the emergency room where people were taken is on lockdown. police say the shooter is detained -- but they are not relasing any other details at this time. an arrest is made and charges are filed in the murder of a nine-year-old- boy.. corey morgan is charged with first degree murder in the death of 9- year-old tyshawn lee. lee was shot -- execution style -- in chicago on november 13th. police say morgan shot the boy multiple times in the head and back because lee's father was affiliated with a rival gang. morgan is a convicted felon. also in chicago -- police are dealing with hundreds of people protesting

the protesters all but shut down chicago's famed magnificent mile. mcdonald was shot 16 times by a police officer last year. that officer has since been charged with murder -- and people started protesting earlier this week after a judge ordered the dash cam video released showing mcdonald's death. police and shop owners along chicago's "magnificent mile" say they will respect the protesters' right to assemble. police are looking for a man who robbed a credit union. it happened at the du-track community credit union on east fourth stree in dubuque. officers say the robber handed the teller a note saying he had a gun -- the man took money and ran from the building. the suspect is between five-six and five-nine with a medium build... wearing a grey coat, grey stocking hat and carrying a back pack. if you have any information -- please call police. new details about a thanksgiving day fire in cedar falls -- deemed as arson.. a lot of the items burned in the fire were band equipment for the evan stock band...

iowa -- but across the nation marginal deals on electronics get serious. these guys are actually going to blows in the middle of a mall -- with a crowd gathered around -- knocking a woman over in the process. a deputy eventually broke up the fight. and this video shows people getting really aggressive when it comes to vegetable steamers by knocking them over... a little kid is actually holding the box and a full grown woman snatches it out of his hands -- and then gets into it with the child's mother! local retailers are getting ready for tomorrow -- the saturday after thanksgiving is traditionally small business saturday... shoppers are encouraged to head out to local down towns and spend money that will come back to the community. during last year's small business saturday -- consumers spent more than 14 billion dollars nationwide. and -- even though cyber monday isn't happening for a few days... shoppers have been snagging online deals.

sales trackers found more than one-billion dollars were spent by online shoppers, yesterday alone... and a quarter of those sales came from people shopping on their phones. experts found online sales this year were up nearly 30 percent from last year on thanksgiving. not everyone is out shopping for black friday deals. some families are out getting their christmas tree. the day after thanksgiving is a popular day to visit christmas tree farms to buy the perfect tree. the first day of the season at the bahl family farm. many came out to cut their own tree...or just bought a pre-cut one from the barn. families say it's a tradition. the hayride with the kids...is smell great and it's a tradition to cut one down together as a family." owners say it's been a good year for christmas trees -- because
