good morning and welcome to today in iowa! happy saturday! lets take a live look outside with our .....skycam. thanks so much for joining us this morning. i'm lauren moss. the iowa hawkeyes have done it... the hawks -- finishing off a picture perfect regular season with a big 28-to-20 win friday in lincoln... the team is 12 and oh -- for the first time ever... and kwwl's mark woodley is in lincoln for us -- and has more with the iowa players to life... the iowa hawkeyes got it done - hoisting the heroes trophy for iowa's 28, 20 victory over nebraska secured the first unbeaten, 12 and oh regular season in hawkeye history "i was a little emotional coming off the field because i've never been part of a team like this. just everyone fighting for each

in colorado is over -- but not before taking the lives of at least three people... police say they captured the gunman alive after a standoff that lasted several hours.... one of those killed... a police officer who responded to the chaotic scene friday... leanne gregg has the latest this morning... colorado springs police say a gunman, who stormed a planned parenthood office, has been captured alive. but not before killing at least three people .. including officer garrett swasey. this is a terrible, terrible tragedy that's occurred here in co springs here today. obviously we mourn the loss of the two civilian victims, we mourn the hours after it started. teams of heavily armed tactical police rushed scene... a shopping center... where they confronted the shooter. and the standoff began... with the suspect and police firing at each over the course of several hours. "i've been shot! at least three people

were killed, including one officer. five other officers were wounded... with 9 gunman and taken to nearby hospitals. crews are still on the scene now. we are working to get more information..and we'll bring that to you as it becomes available... on air and as always on our website at k-w-w-l dot com... authorities are investigating a crash -- after a driver slams into a buggy... it happened shortly after six friday evening on 1 hundred 20th street -- southeast of fairbank. according to the buchanan county sheriff's office -- a 23-year-old woman hit the buggy -- causing serious damage as you can see here. luckily the seven people in the buggy were not hurt -- neither was the driver of the car. the crash is under investigation at this time... a bank robbery in eastern iowa also continues to be investigated... it happened on east 14th street in dubuque on friday... police say the robber handed the teller a note and demanded money. according to our coverage partners at t-h media, he told the teller he had a gun. officers are now seaching for a man between five six and five nine

"and i said i don't want to change psychiatrists. i want to stick with him." you see, iowa has a shortage of psychiatrists. and to avoid people waiting six to eight months to see a professional, they're turning to technology. "when you got people who need mental health services and they call up and you say well that's great, we can see a not for everyone, but it sure helps many. "just really excited about the victory and really happy for our players. i just told them i'm really not sure what to say it's an unbelievable accomplishment." yesterday -- as im sure you know.. the shopping rush turned one wal- mart into a free- for-all yesterday... police in georgia shot this video as shoppers scramble to grab boxes. you can hear people shouting... "oh my god"... and "let's get out of here." the police department sent ten officers to patrol the store. meanwhile... hundreds of protestors block store entrances across the famous magnificent mile shopping district. they want to know why it took a year to release police video showing a chicago officer shooting and killing a black teenager. protests started earlier this week after the video was released. the officer involved in the shooting has been charged with first-degree murder. retailers -- now using your phone to track the way you shop... it's a valuable tool -- as stores use your browsing history to learn more about what products you like.... more chains are signing on to google's ad technology... which

-- after he jumped the fence on thanksgiving day... the secret service stopped him on the lawn -- and took him into custody. he's been sent to a hospital to undergo a mental evaluation.... police say that the man left a suicide note before attempting his jump... an incredibly close call for a state trooper -- who stopped a car on the side of the interstate... check out this dashcam video -- as a car comes out of nowhere and slams into the car the trooper was standing next to... police believe the car was going more than 85 miles-per- hour -- just missing the trooper and two people on the side of the highway. luckily no one was inside the parked car. as a reminder -- iowa has the you see flashing lights. soon we'll know if a pipeline through iowa... can start construction... the dakota access pipeline will carry crude oil from north dakota...through iowa...to illinois. on monday --
