"so we're making tie blankets for sick kids in the hospitals." members of the dyersville community -- old and young -- come together to make tie fleece blankets for local children who are sick, have experienced trauma or loss. it's an effort near and dear to nine year old cambrie ling's heart. "my dad had cancer and he got a tie blanket when he was in the hospital so that's how we got into making the tie blankets." this is her third year being involded with the organization project linus...blanket making day. (nat sound) "it's actually really fun, but then i feel really sad because of all the kids that are sick so that's why we made these." organizers say their goal is to make and collect two hundred handmade blankets this holiday

indy tonight. it was also the scene for the shrimp cocktail eating contest. the world's top competitive eater joey chestnut broke his own record and defends his crown in the shrimp cocktail eating contest. he ate more than 12 pounds of shrimp in eight minutes. that record still has to be officially verified. joey chestnut has been a competitive eater since 2005 and holds the international hot dog eating contest title for eight years.
