investigating chicago's police department. attorney general loretta lynch announcing the move today, saying the federal probe will look at whether chicago police have engaged in a pattern or practice of violating people's civil rights. the investigation comes at the request of a number of state, local, and community leaders. and after a preliminary review... old favorite that we came up with almost 30 years ago. and whether you serve it for chanukah, christmas or just because, these bite-sized buttery, rich rugelach always disappear fast. to make them, all we do is cut a good amount of butter with some flour. and can do it with a pastry cutter like this, or with a couple of knives. once it's crumbly, we add our secret ingredient.some softened vanilla ice cream. that gives the dough a rich vanilla flavor. once it comes together, we pop it in the fridge firm up. now after spspinkling the counter with a cinnamon, walnut sugar mixture, we cut the dough into chunks and roll out one piece at a time and top it with some chocolate chips.

the bad news is, there's a lot of damage after an s- u-v crashes into a yard in dubuque. it happened friday night on stetmore street. police say james brown led them around the block twice -- before "he didn't make the curb here when he come around, wiped out my fence and ended up upside down underneath the tree." brown has been charged with new details --following a thanksgiving arson. nicholas kollasch was charged on -- but he wasnt arrested until this week. sources say -- following his confession -- kollash tried to harm himself and was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation. kwwl's jessica hartman catches up with the person -- most affected by the fire. an early morning fire - - the result of an altercation between the alleged arsonist and it didn't look very good. so i got out of the car pretty - kollasch left and stock thought it was done. not expecting the stranger to come back and set fire to three cars and a garage.
