and conviction in this case. a man convicted of shooting a police officer during a robbery is sentenced for a third time. this man eddie chest - and his son eddie adams were convicted in the shooting of dubuque lieutenantt scott baxter . at his third sentencing...his attorney, argued the only reason chest previously accepted a plea deal was because the sentences were supposed to be served at the sasae time the prosecution argued they were meant to be served back-to-back. ultimately...the judge ruled...chest was guilty of the crimes mmited...taking into account his extensive criminal history. "you were on parole at the time you commited this offense. for that reason the court finds the consecutive offenses are appropriate." the judge told eddie chest he can appeal his sentence within thirty days. chest told the judge...he won't miss it. at another hearing today...a man accused of killing his girlfriend wants to move his trial out of dubuque county. twenty-seven yea old eddie

degree murder -- for stabbing kahdyesha lemon to death. it happened back in june in dubuque. hicks attorney says he's gotten a lot of media attention that would cause him to not get a fair trial if a jury were from dubuque. the judge ordered surveys to be sent out to potential jurors...then will make a decision. police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured. cedar rapids police were called to kirkwood court southwest at seven lasas night. police foundnda man with a gunshot wound. he was taken to the hospital. his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. no arrests have been made. authorities are investigating a suspicious death in union county. the body is identified as 37- year-old loretta dillinger. a hunter found her body by a farm pond near the union county and madison county line. the case of death is not being released because it's an ongoing investigation. one ems team is finding themselves on the other side of an emergency response today. an ambulance caught fire inside
