officers discharged a weapon. the driver of the vehicle left the scene and hasn't been caught. the waterloo police is still waiting on autopsy results after a body was pulled from the cedar river. the unidentified body was found sunday morning near gilbertville by a trapper. officials say the body was taken to ankeny and the autopsy was scheduled for tuesday. as of wednesday morning, additional tests are being performed. the police department and sheriff's office, with the help from the fire department would also be searching the river on wednesday. it's estimated, 23 million americans have had their packages stolen before they could even get to them. it's happening all over the nation, so-called "porch pirates" are stealing your holiday gifts right from your front door. kwwl's lauren moss spent the day with a local mail carrier , she

in custody and do not have a description of the suspect at this time. an in-home daycare provider caught on hidden video abusing children is sentenced. christina williamson was sentenced to five years in prison. on tuesday, she faced the victims families. kwwl's nikki newbrough is live in our newsroom. nikki there's video that shows this woman abusing those babies...i've seen a lot of video in my time as a journalist...and this video by far, was the hardest to watch the video shows daycare provider, 29-year-old christina williamson abusing babies. it's very difficult to watch, but as a mother i felt i needed to see it. williamson shown here abusing babies in her home. shown stepping on a baby...even throwing the baby around like a rag doll. the judge even saying he had kids and watching the video tape was quote "just sickening" the video

willamson's husband...we don't know why he set up cameras in the first place. williamson looked visabily upset in court and apologized. "she was afraid of you and i didn't see it. now i see it and choices. these families entrusted me with their children." the attorney for williamson asked for probation, but the judge felt she needed to be punished...she was sentence to five years in prison. the families were able to give victim impact statements. one of the mothers said quote "she was afraid of oyu and i didn't see it. now i see it and it breaks we've got you covered live in the newsroom nikki newbrough kwwl news. doctors says the babies are not showing physical signs of abuse. an iowa high school girls basketball coach made his first appearance in front of a judge wednesday morning. gerald johnson was charged tuesday with sexual exploitation

the uni volleyball team's season ended a few days ago when the lost to marquette in the first round of the ncaa tournament losing three sets to two. the panthers finished off the season 19-15 with only three seniors they return nearly the lot to look forward too.
