the fire happened on mulberry street in waterloo last night.... officers were collecting evidence at the scene. police tell us firefighters smelled gas and thought it may be an arson. everyone got out of the home safely. today -- police are also investigating after a man went into an eastern iowa restauauant. he had beenntabbed. waterloo police aren't sure where the stabbing happened. they learned about it after the victim walked into the perkins restaurant on university avenue shortltl after two this morning. the victim was taken to allen hospital. police are not sure of his condition right now. several kids were taken to the hospital after a crash involving a waterloo school van.... police tell us the children's injuries are minor. it happened yesterday. they saw a truck hit the school van -- and the driver was ticketed... bond is set for a high sshool basketball coach accused of sexually abusing a student... 46-year-old gerald "tig" johnson worked at roosevelt high school in des moines.
