what can you tell us hillary? the university has been using the name isis for this web prgram for decades... but, after recent terrorist attacks... the school feels a change is appropriate. the iowa student informatioosystem is commonly referred to as isis...and that name has upset some students... parents... and faculty at the university of iowa though students have used the rogram every day for years... recent terrorism events prompted theefight for a name chhnge. are still in the beginning stages of changing the name... so they don't know exactly how much th change e ill cost... ttugh they believe it will be significant. the school will also be asking for input from studenls for a new name to ensure it's something they feellis appropriate. say there's no hurry to get rid of the current site in their opinions. their big quarterfinal matchup withthe north dakota state bison tomorrow. kwwl's brad hanson was there as they were getting on the plane earlier today. brad, what's the feeling going into this game? this is a very confident team heading into a very important rematch with the biso. you might remember north dakota statae beat the panthers 31-28 earlier this year. this was the scene early this afternoon at the wgterloo airport. many of these players really excittd as they headadoff to this huge matchup. the bison have won four straight national titles. the panthers are four and four against them in the mark farley era. i asked him what needs too happen foo the panthers to advance past this

roses were actually sent to the team by a local grocery store chain. but the school says the players wanted to share them with t patients. iowa playsstanford in he rose bowl on new years day. and speaking of the rose bowl, kwwl will have live coverage from pasadena. our rood to the rose bowl will be covered by ron steele, mark woodley, sports reporter zach grant, brad hanson and content producer scott albanese. kwwl's coverage begins live from pasadena the day after christmas and will contiue through new year's day with reactions and highlights of the game. kwwl will also be presenting a special half hour broadcast wednesday evening december 30th at 6:30 entitled road to the rose bowl: live from pasadena.

now have the bike of a waterloo teen -- moe sed -- whose bady was found earlier this week in the cedar river. moe sed was last seen with his bike on october 22nd... officers were looking for his bike since his body had been in the cedar river on sunday. waterloo pollce say his bike was turned in by someone who found his bike in downtown waterloo. officers say they're unsure how long this person had the bike. information about funeral arrangements and a memorial fund set up to help cover those costs can be found on our website, kwwl dot com. the man allegedly responsible for an early morning stabbing is now in jail. jeron garrison was taken into custody ffr willful seriius injury.

and garrison stabbed the victim multiple times outside the university avenue studios in waterloo. the two then drjve away in separate cars. witnesses say tte victim tried walking into the perkins on university for help. at last word, the victim is awake and in stable condition after he was taken to the hospital. a child is in the hospital after family members say he was shot in the kidney last night. police say the child was wounded in the 600 block of east 14-th strret in davenport. officerrsay they recovered casings from the scene. neighbors say they heard multiple gunshots last night. a retired area offical is charged with stealing remains of native americans from a national park here in eastern iowa. the former park superintendent had the prehistoric ones for more than twenty years kwwl's shirley descorbeth is live in clayton county where the effigy mound national mounument is located.

the community. what's their reaction? i spoke to people in praire du chien, which is where thomas munson...thth former superintendenen lives. it's a small community and many seemed very protective of munson...saying he's a nice man. others said whht he did...is downright creepp. the lands of effidy mounds national monument in clayton county were treated not so sacred. former park superintendent...sevent y-six year old thomas munson of prairie du chien...is charged with stealing ancient native american remains from the museum collection -- fragmentssof skeltons...jaws, legs and teeth. is he's critically ill. they got to get him to iowa city, and any better. so i took him to the emergency hospital in dubuque... finley hospital and...have the helicopter come to pick him up....it's been a long journey so far withhout any definate answers. "mommy please open it..." doctors don't know what's wrong with him.... "thank you" "the best answer we got is he ended up getting the flu and his immune system didn't really know how to respond to it..... so it started attacking his body." through a program here at the hospital.... liam gets a bead for every proccure or treatment he gets. this show's everything he's gone through... "hes got a couple courage beads... for the amputation of throughout all of this... "he's going to go on to do great things with his personality and the attitude he has. he's going stay positive too.
