involved shooting... cedar rapids police officers shot 27-year-old kyle orth three times at the end of march. investigators determined orth knowingly tried to run over one the two police officers after the pair h h tried to pull him over. that's when police shot, hitting him in the right shoulder, left arm and left thigh. here is an officer on his way to the scene you can tell this happened early in the morning, the street lights still flashing... from this dash cam you can see an orange bmw that's orth right there, he is seen speeding up, even turning a corner, not slowing down for police this next clip shows the alleyway where orth crashed into a telephone pole... before driving towards the officers that's when he was shot multiple times.... we'll have more of this video in our story, tonight at six.

in a waterloo officer-invovled shooting... the department of public safety says a waterloo officer is justified in shooting a man during a police chase. this video shows the chase back on november third -- behind the wheel is brandon seeley - you can see he nearly runs an officer over and then you hear four shots fired. seeley was ventually arrested... he was initially wanted on a drug warrant out of jones county - but now faces new charges including assault on a peace officer. a few independence business owners re back toowork after a gas main break. according to independence police -- the driver of a car hit a gas morning. police evacuated city hall and nearby businesses as a precaution. nobody wassinjured -- and crews allowewepeople back inside while fixing the problem. it's been a long time coming. the federal reserve raising interest rates for the firss time in nearly 10 years. it's a small hike -- point two five percent, but that quarter
