"shots fired, shots fired, shots fired! show me your hands, show me your fg hands!" it was a point road and daniels street north east. "youre gonna get shot, you're gonna get shot! do not move!" police say orth ran several red lights and went down a one way street prior to the pinnacle of drive towards the officers, though they told him repeatedly to stop. kwwl was on the scene in march after all of this went down. you can see multiple bullet holes in orth's orange bmw. "put your hands up - dont shoot me, dont shoot me!" back on the scene you can hear officers struggle with orth, as he pleads with them not to shoot him. officers eventually lead orth back into the dash camera's view, putting him on the ground and handcuffing him. the struggle is finally over, and after a long ordeal...

that was olivia mancino reporting. earlier this month, orth was sentenced to 180 days in jail and three years probation. nats - 5 seconds this is video from a shooting involving a waterloo officer. the department of public safety says what the officer did was justified. video shows the chase in november. behind the wheel is brandon seeley. waterloo police fired at the van. seeley was arrested... he was initially wanted on a drug warrant out of jones county - but now faces in chicago -- police officer jason van dyke has now been indicted for the shooting death of laquan mcdonald. dyke shot mcdonald 16 times last year. van dyke has been charged with murder. he's back in court on friday. overnight -- calm in a baltimore neighborhood that saw rioting

yesterday, we learned of a mistrial for the first officer charged in his death. dozens of protesters spilled into the streets yesterday -- as the news spread. porter is the first of six baltimore officers to go on trial after gray died last april.. from a severe spinal injury that happened when he was in custody. a developing story this morning: a sheriff's deputy shot in a standoff. it happened in tennessee overnight. at last check, the standoff was not over. it started when authorities were called about someone drunk waving a gun around and threatening people in a neighborhood. when deputies showed up -- the suspect started shooting. a deputy was hit and so was a woman across the street. both are being treated. an iowa man has died after being trapped in a grain bin. the clarke county sheriff says the owner of the farm and eric reasland were working to get corn out of the bin when it happened yesterday. the sheriff says reasland died. he was 39.

an eastern iowa college helps turn a road into a farm to help round up pigs on the loose. dozens of pigs are rounded up after the trailer they were in flipped. it happened wednesday morning on the ramp from 380 to highway 30 outside cedar rapids. a few pigs died at the scene - but most were corraled by dot crews, emergency workers, and staff from kirkwood college. they brought in a trailer and fences . decision 2016: hillary clinton returns to iowa to campaign. she's getting ready for the next democratic debate on saturday in new hampshire. kwwl's ron steele sat down with clinton for a one- on-one interview about key issues during her stop in iowa city. hillary clinton greeted town hall supporterts at the historic old brick church in iowa city with a familiar theme: 'that we begin to ask the wealthy to pay more, to pay their fair share, in order to invest in america."

"we did discuss the possibility that circumstances in the future might cause our commanders to like using helicopters, like using additional personnel in connection with the campaign." the fall of ramadi to isis was

biggest defeat of iraq's central government in about a year. this morning, a decision by the federal reserve has many people asking -- what does it mean to them? the fed is raising interest rates for the first time in about 10 years. it's a small hike -- point two five percent. the impact of one rate hike is months, and the federal reserve notice. higher interest rates mean it will be slightly more expensive to get a car loan or a mortgage but it also means savers will slowly start to earn some interest and will make the u.s. dollar stronger. another day -- another big award for iowa's football coach. the football writers association of america named kirk ferentz as the winner of the eddie robinson award -- given to the top coach in the country. he's the first hawkeye ever to

"whoever did this i think must be a very callous person." a trait ray hamilton doesn't usually think about as he walks the oak leaf trail another hiker was taking a walk this majestic deer. those who frequent the park have named him bowtie. suddenly an arrow sailed through the air and hit bowtie. "it kind of reminds me of the cecil the lion thing. apparently this deer was like a big pet almost for people in the area that knew him." the hiker says he ran to the hunter who was calling his wife to say he

his own call to 911. police arrived with the dnr..the hunter disappeared. "it just seems to me it's pretty unsportsman like to do something like this, as well as discharging some sort of weapon in a park where children come to play things like that." a local photographer chronicled bowtie through his nine and a half years of life. even capturing him on video. randy crawford's nature photos featured bowtie on calendars, outdoor magazine covers, and websites. "we found multiple violations, citations are going to be issued." the dnr was able to catch up to the poacher "milwaukee county does have an ordinance saying you cannot hunt in their parks." some say it's not enough. social media is filling the spaces below pictures of bowtie with messages of loss... the loss of a beautiful park animal so many have loved watching for so many years. they revoked the man's hunting license for a year. he was also fined about one thousand dollars. we still have a lot to get to

"this is a movie with an anticipation level unlike anything we've ever seen." it's expected to rake in between 150 and 200 million dollars in the u.s. by monday....
