it's not as windy as what it was yesterday, but generally we do have a wind out of the northwest from 10 to 15 miles per hour. gusts have been 25 to 30 miles per hour throughout the day. with the winds coming out of the northwest, it's kept our temperatures from rising too much. right now we have upper 20s to lower 30s across the area. here's a look at the storm track 7 live doppler radar. no rain or snow falling from the clouds. there have been snow flurries and snow showers to our north. those may enter our forecast as we head into the day on friday. here's the storm track 7 live weather network camera across eastern iowa. mainly cloudy. we'll let you know when temperatures warm up coming new at noon...

after saving a man from house fire last year. cory simonson and matthew tranel are two of 24 people honored with carnegie hero medals. they saved a man whose wheelchair got stuck while inside a house fire in maquoketa. the medal is given to those who risk their lives to an extraordinary degree while saving or attempting to save the lives of others. a man is arrested after deputies respond to a reported burglary in progress. it happened at a home north of dunkerton this morning. chad clark of waterloo was arrested. black hawk county sheriff's deputies found clark as he was leaving the area. clark was taken to the black the drug company c-e-o who came under fire for raising the price of a life saving drug 5-thousand percent was arrested early this morning. f-b-i agents arrested 32-year- old martin shkreli on security fraud charges related to a firm he founded. the federal case accuses him of illegally taking stock from a biotechnology firm that he started in

a new york lawyer is also accused of conspiring with him in part of the scheme. the search is on for two men caught on camera stealing an atm machine. security video captures the incident in illinois. the vehicle goes back into a convenience store window, shattering the glass. then two men get out of the vehicle and load an atm into the back of their truck. police are hoping anyone with information about the theft will contact them. an iowa man has died after being trapped in a grain bin. the clarke county sheriff says the owner of the farm and eric reasland were working to get corn out of the bin when it happened yesterday. the sheriff says reasland died. he was 39. he was from creston. we have a much clearer picture of what happened during an iowa officer involved shooting in march. this is the dash cam video -- cedar rapids officers chasing kyle orth. orth hits a utility pole. then -- as officers said -- orth drives forward, towards where the officers are.

was hurt, but did surive. he's been sentenced to jail time. nats - 5 seconds this is video from a shooting involving a waterloo officer. the department of public safety says what the officer did was justified. video shows the chase in november. behind the wheel is brandon seeley. waterloo police fired at the van. seeley was arrested... he was initially wanted on a drug charges including assault on a peace officer. tonight, friends will gather to honor the life of a waterloo teenager. moe sed's body was found in the cedar river earlier this month. he was a student at waterloo west high school. there's a candlelight vigil in moe's honor at the school those attending are asked to bring a candle. decision 2016... three republicans are emerging as top candidates following tuesday night's debate. they're all fighting for the top spot. tracie potts has more.

dozens of protesters spilled into the streets yesterday -- as the news spread. william porter is the first of six baltimore officers to go on trial after gray died last april.. from a severe spinal injury that happened when he was in custody. in chicago -- police officer jason van dyke has now been indicted for the shooting death of laquan mcdonald. dyke shot mcdonald 16 times last year. n dyke has been charged with murder. he's back in court on friday. a boat carrying rfugees capsizes. recue crews helped save more than a dozen people -- but one man and a child drowned following the shipwreck off the coast of using a personal e-mail account to do government business. the questions aren't about hillary clinton. they're focused on the current defense secretary. the pentagon says ash carter used a personal account to do some of his government business during his first few months on the job. his press secretary says carter believes it was a mistake.
