in iowa today. hillary clinton is just about to start an event in keota. three students there pleaded with clinton to visit their school. it's part of a project for their sociology class. they used social media, in-person pleas, and t-shirts to convince the former secretary of state to visit their school of about 80 students. they plan to talk about the challenges rural schools face. bernie sanders is in the middle of a three-day swing through our state. some of his events this week have had to be moved to bigger venues because of the crowds. matt breen sitting down with bernie sanders for a one-on-one interview. he spoke about how the democratic poll numbers in iowa have "i want to thank the people of 5 or 10 points down, we were like 40 or 50 points down., so we've come a long, long way." off the heels of a historic climate change deal -- smog continues to be a problem.

team. see the screen for your complete weather information. here is additional forecast information from the kwwl stormtrack 7 weather team: mostly cloudy and breezy today with rain tracking in for tomorrow. stormtrack7 live weather network shows low clouds coninue to cover us. and that is keeping temps from climbing much... they are mainly in the low 30s in our viewing area and across the state. it is dry out there, but i wanted to show this... dewpoints are expected to climb into the 50s by this time tomorrow. that is very high compared to a normal late december day... so, it will be humid! southerly winds have taken over and will be fairly gusty this afternoon. we also keep the low level clouds as the next system tracks our wwy. this will bring rain to the area late tonight and much of the day tomorrow. a few areas may even hear thunder. as the system tracks away from us a few snow showers may mix in, but this will be mainly rain.... most of us will have half an inch or less, although some may get a bit more if you hear that

have plenty of time to make 'em before everyone starts dropping by. we start by melting some butter andd a good amount of marshmallows in a pot over medium heat. once they're melted, we take it off the heat and stir in a splash of green food coloring, and some vanilla. then we gently stir in some cornflakes so we don't break them up and drop tablespoons of this onto waxed paper lined cookie sheets. now we decorate each with a few cinnamon candies to look like holly and let 'em sit for a half hour or so until they firm up. and whether you serve 'em as part of your holiday cookie platter, leave them out for santa, or wrap 'em as a stocking stuffer.these are bound to raise an eye brow or twooi really hope you'll go online and get the recipe for what we call, "holly crackles," so you can add a last-minute festive touch to your holiday get-together. i'm howard in the mr. food test

more than 40 women have come forward to publicly accuse cosby of assaulting them over four decades, usually saying he drugged them first. no crjminal charges have been filed againint cosby. no indictment in the death of sandra bland -- a woman who died this summer in texas while in police custody. though it's still possible one may commlater. 28-year old sandra bland was pulled over for a routine traffic stop in july. she was found three days later dead in her jail cell. authorities say she took her own life by hanging --- but her indict any county jail employees... "we have left no rock unturned, and the grand jury, anything them." there are other indictments the grand jury could consider -- it'll reconvene in january. bland's family says the grand jury system in texas is flawed and the testimony should be open for the public to hear.

worker accused of shooting and killing his boss. it happened during an argument at a waste management facility. investigators are trying to figure out what sparked the argument ad the shooting in thvictim's office. police say the two men "this was just the targgt of one man targeting another man, in this case an individual shooting his boss." houston's mayor says it's another senseless incident of workplace violence. in health news this afternoon... mothers know all too well...traveling with breast milk can be a pain. one mom's s ecent battle wiih an airline is now making the rounds online. nbc's erica hill has more. vanessa urango did everything by the book before - vanessa urango urango says a customer service agent told her to pack the milk in a cooler with dry airport, the message was much different. out of three agents, no one could tell me what to do. aid basically, you can't take this cooler on the plane. after much confusion and fruuration, vanessa threw out the
