down to earth, incredibly nice guy. lemm was on patrol monday near bagram afghanistan when a motorcycle laden with explosives went off in the midst of their patrol. lemm, originally from bernard iowa, moved to nebraska and eventually new york, where he was a member of the police force for about 15 years. he was on his third and final tour overseas. loras link, who's wife was lemm's cousin, says even though they only saw him every couple of years, he left a mark on their lives. could've seen more of him. link and his daughter shared some other great memories of lemm with me today--we'll hear we've got you covered live from the t-h media newsroom in lemm's body was brought back to the united states today -- and was part of a dignified transfer at dover air force base. the autopsy is complete and funeral services are set for an iowa wrestler who died during the weekend. 18-year-old austin roberts collapsed during a meet during a home invitational on saturday. the state medical examiner completed the autopsy -- but results are pending. the preliminary investigation showed roberts died of natural causes. a visitation will be held at three p-m on sunday -- december 27th. funeral services are set for 10-30 a-m on monday decmeber 28th. both will be held at the spencer high school gym. gun sales increase this year --

say." talk of stricter gun control comes after a series of violence. the san barnardio shooting in california marked the 355 mass shooting in the united states this year in 336 days. another part of this recent to feel safe. we've got you covered live in the store manager says the says sales of all types of guns have increased this year. an assault rifle is found -- and a man is arrested following reports of gun shots. police arrest 22- year-old vincent harrington in the 600 block of wellington street tuesday night in waterloo. gunshots were reported in the area of randolph and west seventh street. according to witnesses -- several people ran away from the area when police arrived. an assault rifle was found at the scene. police believe the rifle was stolen during a burglary earlier this week.

directed to city council members could be related to a fatal police shooting. three members of the burlington city council received bomb threats by email. police beielve it's connected to the shooting of a burlington woman earlier this year. the emails -- sent monday -- contain threats to blow up the city council building. burlington police says no arrests have been made. the f-b-i has been helping with the investigation to track down the server the writer used. an eastern iowa man is arrested after breaking in to his estranged wife's home. according to our coverage partners at t-h media -- the break in took place in the 23-hundred block of central avenue in dubuque monday night. police say eric shafer broke into his wife's home -- set up a camera -- and put items such as: duct tape, a dog harness, a pocket knife and sex toys in her basment. according to court documents -- when police arrived -- shafer was found hiding in the basement. shafer was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary. decision 2016 -- a new poll

donald trump is gaining momentum in the nation. a new c-n-n poll released today shows trump holding a commanding lead over his republican competitors -- at nearly 39 percent. senator ted cruz is in second place at 18 percent. doctor ben carson and marco rubio both coming in at ten percent. more than one thousand adults were randomly surveyed by cnn. even though trump holds a big lead -- many voters believe the republicans would be better without him. the same c-n-n poll asked potential republican voters whether the g-o-p would have a better shot at winning the white house with or without trump as their representative. 50 percent believe they have a better chance if trump is not the representative. 46 percent think their chances are better. university of iowa police support one of their own -- by shaving their heads -- after learning their fellow officer's mother is battling cancer. kwwl's hillary maglin has the story. jackie anderson... a university of iowa police all in support of her

just happens to be carrying on a family tradition by going to pasadena -- in fact -- he's the third member of his family to take part in the game -- as his great uncle pete quarterbacked usc to a win in the 1963 game -- and another uncle -- kurt beathard coached the illinois wide receivers in 2008 -- and having an opportunity to carry on that legacy is a big deal to the hawkeye quarterback -- that's awesome. i remember going to the rose bowl whenever it was, 7 or 8 years ago, when my uncle was there with illinois. they played usc, and my family and i thinking this is awesome. i can't wait until i'm in college doing this. it's always been a dream of mine to play in a rose bowl game and now i'm getting an oppor the hawkeyes will be facing the a-p player of the year when they meet stanford on new year's day -- despite not winning the heisman sophomore running back christian mccaffery received 29 of the 60 votes 00 with heisman winner derrick henry taking 16 for second place -- mccaffery set an ncaa record this
