firefighters and the other emergency crews who responed on christmas.... ccews were on scene for nearly two hours containing the blaze... an iowa lottery winner may have to return his 1 hundred-thousand- dollar prize. ininlate july -- a man went to collect his prize check -- claiming a co-worker bought him the ticket. the problem is -- the iowa lottery got a tip saying he purchased the ticket when he was underage. the day he went to the gas station and got the winning ticket -- the manager says he showed a fake i-d. the man is now facing misdemeanor charges for underage gambling. (mary neubauer, iowa lottery spokeswoman): "the law is in place for a reason. we need to often." the store owner says he will appeal the decision -- saying all the money that comes from lottery -- is a good source of money for his business. a homeowner calls police after finding a man asleep in his

in mississippi -- relief organizations and volunteers are of a rare round of winter tornados this week.. those storms killed at least 14 people. clean-up efforts continue today -- however -- anticipated heavy those efforts. despite all that -- communities are still coming together to help... "we've got red cross has been up people at the commodore hotel, we've had numerous churches open up their doors and let people stay the night. everybody just pitched in really well and i'm really proud of this community." this is surviellance video that was sped up.. from a bank in holly springs where the storm hit. watch as you see the tornado rolling past. another tornado touched down in central alabama last night. firefighters say three homes were

one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries -- as the mayor declared an emergency with rain continuing to pour and creating flash flooding... here's a look at some of that flooding happening in the state... rescue workers were forced to raft families to safety after floodwaters cut off neighborhoods... some roads have been washed away as creeks and rivers overrun their banks... a brush fire in southern california has quickly spread to more than 9- hundred acres early this morning... more than a hundred firefighters are currently trying to control the flames... investigators say at least 30 homes are in the fire's path... the california highway patrol shut down a stretch of the pacific coast highway -- as evacuations in the area have been issued... no injuries have been reported yet in the sudde blaze... it's coming up on today in iowa... many people headed home for the
