and wind. this is for monday, but already we have a winter storm watch in effect for all of eastern iowa starting early monday morning and lasting through monday night. this will likely have a big impact on travel due to the variety of precipitation we are expecting. here are a look at the ice accumulations we expect across the area. this is all depends on the track of the system, but there could be a trace, up to a tenth of an inch of ice from highway twenty and points north. to the south, there could be a tenth to quarter of an inch of ice, at least. temperatures will be near freezing at the surface and above us in the atmosphere, so that's why we won't be seeing an entire

as far as snow totals. again, this is about 36 hours out, so there is plenty o time for this to change. one to four inches possible from cedar rapids and areas south of highway twenty. four to eight inches possible north of highway through garland texas tonight. all four deaths occured near the intersection of interstate 30 and interstate 90 -- within a few thousand feet of each other. authorities say all four people were in the same vehicle at the out and we were just shocked, total destruction. at least two tornadoes were confirmed in the area. the area remains under flash flood

it. we've got you covered in iowa city... hillary maglin... kwwl news. her husband -- who works at the dental school -- says nearly 500 people walk through every day -- and nearly all of them make it a new at ten -- a six-year-old girl dies -- after her family was involved in a christmas morning crash. the accident was reported around 11 o-clock nearly five miles east of fort dodge on highway d-20. according to troopers -- the driver of a jeep wrangler hit henry's pickup head on. henry, his wife, and their three children were in the vehicle. doctors say six- year-old peyton was on life support after the driver of the jeep's condition is unknown at this time. platteville wisconsin police investigate an armed robbery at gas station.

the 700 block of water street at nine o-clock at night. fortunatley -- nobody was injured -- but police say the person respsonsible is seene here in these surveillance images. they say he got away with money and a bag of cheetos. people in the community say this this is small town platteville....because of our university, we're getting bigger and bigger and bigger. drawing in diverse...you, know, ethnics." witnesses say they saw two people running west -- and one stayed outside during the incident. police described the person inside as tall and thin. they say he was wearing a red jack and tie-died pants. in illinois -- two people are dead after an officer- involved shooting in chicago. it happened early this morning on the city's west side -- after police responded to a domestic disturbance complaint. a chicago fire dispatcher said the 19-year-old man and 56-year-old

the shooting. a woman says her son was killed -- and she describes him as a "he was having a mental situation, sometimes he gets a little loud, but not violent. i was just with my son on christmas. i talked to him and told him he has to control his temper." the chicago police department chief of detectives says police officers encountered a person who was not responding. the incident is under investigation. now to decision 20-16. republican presidential candidate donald trump takes credit for an obama administration plan to step up deportations -- starting next month. donald trump says the move comes after his regular calls on the campaign trail -- to deport more than 11-million undocumented immigrants in the united states. the national raids will focus on hundreds of familes who have entered
