earlier today mark woodley and i drove the tournament of roses parade route down orange grove blvd. in pasadena. there are rows and rows of bleachers set up for parade goers who will pay about 90 dollars for a seat in thosesebleachers. we also had a chance to see some of the amazing floats that you will see tomorrow in the parade here on kwwl. should be a fantastic parade on kwwl. i also ran into former kwwl sports director bob hogue, now

orlando had to divert to chattanooga for an emergency landing. 150 ppple and six crr members were on board at the time. kwwl's kristin rogers has been following this for us today, kristin, [hat caused all this? allegiant aiitells us it t s a problem in the right engine that caused them to make the emergency landing. they tell us it was all done out of an abundance of causion. certainly a scary situation for passengers on board allegiant flight 760 out of orlando, tell us what it was like moments before their plane kevin smith/ passenger) "i wasslarmed by a louddbang, it sounded like a small explosion. everybody on the plane immediately woke up slowed way down and started decending so there was concern /n the plane about what was going on, it kind of makes yououthink about what's important, your family, faith, i didn't know what was going on." allegiant tells us it was a problem in the right engine that caused this landing.

cedar rapids, kristin rogers...kwwl news. allegiant had another emergency landing yesterday in rhode island for a plane that was also travelling from orlando, but this time headed for maine. allegint tells us e two incidences are not related. the governor of iowa is sending aide down to missouri. terry branstad along with the iowa homeland securixy and emergency management are sending 45 soldiers aa 20 vehicles rom the iowa national guard to help with the flooding. the soldiers are stationed at cedar rapids, oelwein and camp dodge. theyill arrive in missouri tomorrow. one person n s in the hossital after colliding with a garbage truck. the collision took place two miles west of west union on highway 18 this mornng. fayette county sheriff's department says the garbage truck was backing into a farm drive when a truck driven by phillip white and melinda scribner collided with it. scribner was trapped and the jaws of life were useb to cut her free. th white and scribner and one of the garbage workers were airlifted to the hospital with
