still feels like the single digits and teens with the southerly winds... they are 10-20 mph and gusting 26 mph at times. they willlstay breezy this afternoon with temperatures climbing a few more degrees. we have rain and snow and ry cold temps in the stormtrack7 day forecast. which i will have coming up in a few minutes. we've learned the 2-year-ld injured in a sunday night shooting in dubuque is now in stable condition at universitt of iowa hospitals. they say several people, including other children, were inside an apartment when the shooting happened.. right now...investigators are still trying to figure out what happened. no criminal charges have been filed. and another follow up-- we now know the name of a man the d-c-i identified the man as karl white. he was 56. an autopsy shows he died from a gunshot wound. the preliminary investgation shows he might have been shot by accident by someone else... but

no one is in custody. two eastern iowans are headed to saint louis today. they're helping with flood recovery efforts... they've been t trough this before ---raveling to other states to help after a disaster... this is video of the two when they headed to illinois to help with tornado recovery. the couple says they've been trained by the red cross to be ready to go at a moments notice. they left this morning from cedar rapids in an emergency response vehicle, to get food and water to those who need it. huhudreds of homes and businesses have been destroyed because of flooding in illinois and missouri... the missouri national guard is in charge of working with the u-s army corps of engineers to make sure clean-up goes smoothly. the groups will collect and get rid of debris. federal aid is now heading to the area -- president obama has approved a request for federal support from missouri's governor. at least 25 people have died in missouri and illinois, which is another state that was affected by flood waters. many people have lost items in belongings left behind...

to call if fortunate- that it lost all my furniture and the only thing#i saved were my clothes." the flooding happeed after the area saw 10-14 inches of rain fall. in the last 24 hourr -- social media put waterloo police on alert. a facebook page made waterloo police officers public enemy, and encouraged people who followed the page, to attack them. police chhef dan trelka reached out to kwwl about the page and said this: enough is enough. the page has since been taken down. the issue came p on the sam night waterloo's new mayor -- entin hart waa sworn in. he's talked out bringing the city together under his leadership -- and had this to say about the facebook page... i am not in agreement with any kind of page like that. i ief trelka saysysanyone involved with that page -- is coming close to committing a crime.

night after being diverted from landing at sioux gateway airport. the wreckage was found early this morning ouuide pender. the single-engine plane--like this one had left columbia, missouri, bound for sioux city... but authorities at sioux gateway airport diverted the flight to wayne because of bad wwather. it was cloudy and foggy at the time. the plane should have arrived in wayne about seven last night. crews searched for the missing plane overnight. the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. now to decision 2016 coverage: with the presidential primaries in full swing, donald trump and hillary clinton maintain a sizable leaaover their competitors. according to the latest nbc news poll -- trump is maintaining 35 percent support among republicans. snator ted cruz is 17 points behind at 18 percent... followed by senator marco rubio with 13 percent. the same poll found hillary clinton also has a significant lead over her rival... bernie

husband. a federal judge in massachusetts ruled camille cosby must testify in a defamation suit filed by seven women who laim cosby sexxally assaulted them decades ago. cosby is counter-suing the women accusing him - claiming they're lying to make money from the allegations. a man shoots a woman in a hospital lobby before turning the gun on himself. it happened in florida. police say the man talked to the woman on the phone and asked her to come to the hospital. the victim showed up and at some point started walking away from him. that's when he pulled out a gun and shot her before shooting and killing himself. police say there is no evidence of a fight betweent the two.o. a caricature artist at universal orlando resort is accused of trying to kill his manager....by stabbing him in the neck with scissors. the attack happened at the islands of adventure park. detectives say the suspect had been fired the day before the attack. the manager was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

an 18-wheeler slid on ice and nearly crashed into an apartment complex. neighbors said it jack-knifed on a hill near the aparttnts. they watched it slide a few hundred yards - and even spin around as it headed downhill. luckily the semi didn't actually slam into the building itself...
