kwwl. today -- o'malley has campaign stops in cedar rapids and mount vernon. former president clinton also back in iowa campaigning for his wife in marshalltown and coralville today... here in iowa... five people are taken to the hospital following a crash in dubuque county. the iowa state patrol says marquita robertson was driving on hartbeck road near epworth and lost control around 9:45 last night. she and her four passengers, ages 14 to 25, all had to be taken to the hospital. their conditions are not known. robertson was cited for failure to maintain control and driving while suspended. another accident in iowa county had a tragic result... slick road conditions caused a mother and her young son to die in a crash on highway 212 near marengo. the iowa county sheriff's office says bethany clark and her 2-year-old son died when she lost control and the car caught fire. a different kind of weather issue for people working at the linn

the building's heating system crashed earlier this week after pipes burst. linn county emergency management sent this heating generator trailer... to warm up the building during repairs. an iowa woman missing for more than two days... is found lying in the snow. alive. a search for shaniqua hayes began monday after family and friends couldn't reach her. she'd last been seen leaving work in nebraska over the weekend. woodbury county deputies found her lying in the snow tuesday afternoon. all she could do... was blink... resorts. a 13-year-old boy is recovering after falling through an icy pond. it happened in topeka, kansas. fire crews say the boy went onto the ice to grab a bottle --- but crews pulled him out... "we were actually rescue training on ice this morning and these guys did an outstanding job it was textbook, absolutely probably within a minute or two." the boy was taken to the hospital -- and is expected to recover... a teenage boy a state over unfortunately wasn't so lucky... as one of three teenage boys has died after being rescued from an icy pond in colorado. authorities there say the teen who died was the last one pulled from the pond yesterday. the other two boys have been hospitalized and are expected to recover. a person in the neighborhood saw the boys sink into the pond and called for help. we're seeing amazing innovation from car makers between the consumer electronics show last week and now an auto show this week...
