it becomes bitterly cold with dangerous wind chills tonight. i'll have that forecast for you a few minutes. police arrest a woman accused of ssoting another oman in eastern iowa... it happened in the 38-hundred block of 20th avenue south-west in cedar rapids on thursday morning... 30-year-old jill sodahl is charged with attempted murder. after the shooting, police found a handgun in a pond at jones park, whhch they believe was used in the shooting. life-threatening. cedar rapids police also a home invasion and stabbing. it happened early wednesday

south-west in cedar rapids. a 20-year-old suffered a non- life-threatening stab wound. 20-year-old austin holtan and 21- year-old michael jurenic have since been arrested and charged with robbery and burglary. 19-year-old nickola glisic was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. continuing coverage -- as police now say a shooting involving a local toddler was an accident... dubuque police say two-year-old jeremiah horsley may have accidentally shot himself. at last check -- he is in stable condition. the investigation is still ongoing and the dubuque county attorney will ultimately make a decision regarding whether a criminana charge is filed. a plane taking off from an airport in iowa makes an emergency landing. the american airlines flight took off friday from the des moines airporr -- on its way to the d-c area. however it was forced to land in ohio -- due to a problem with the plane's hydraulics system.

a federal judge rejected bostonn marathon bomber dzhokhar tsarnaev's bid for a new trial and ordered him to pay up. the order is largely symbolic because the man is in federal prison anan has no money or income... the judge also rejected the defense's argument that he could not get a fair trial in boston... he said there is "no evidence" a fair trial could be conducted anywhere because of the extensive coverage that the bombings received... tsarnaev was convicted and sentenced to death last year in the 20- 13 attck that killed three people and injured over 2 hundred 60 others... the search continues today for debris.. after two marines helicopters went missing yesterday... witnesses say they may have seen the two helicopters collide -- but weren't sure what was happening when they heard a loud boom and saw a fireball crash into the oceaa.. search efforts are once again underway today for the 12 crew

her tracks, stuck up her tail... the owner says that's when she saw this turtle washed up on the shore.... struggling to move... she called a marine biologist who came to the rescue and brought the turtle to the new england aquarium... aquarium officials say the pup spotted the turtle just in the nick of time... "she sort of just put her tail up, just waited for us to catch up with her." "this newfoundland happening to see this sea turtle really made a difference becauseit was a really, very, very cocod morning." the aquarium says the turtle is slowly but surely recovering...all thanks to the pup. reeka is another good dog -- as she helps kids who have been victims of a crime... mamay of these kids have to testify about the crimes -- making a terrifying ordeal even more harrowing... but -- that's when reeka comes in... steve harris has more... she's a playful dog, with a business card. that's right,
