this cell phone video shows the fire at back home country cookin' in strawberry point. it happened midnight saturdday the fire burned for more than two hours-- three departments had to work to put out the fire. the building is a total loss. kwwls olivia mancino recently back from strawberry point -- she joins us now live i sat down with brenda landis to talk about her restaurant, and the response she's gotten from the community needless to say it wasn't easy for her to talk about what happened, but with the sad tears came happy ones too car nat home to a little more than one thousand people, and brenda landis and me. "when i first pulled up, they since she lost her restaurant 'back home country cookin' to a fire. it took firefighters hours to contain the blaze and the smoke that took over the entire block. "you just sit back and watch them work, thats all you can do" all in the name. brenda "the reason we came back was the history our family had in this town, and the generations of other families that were apart of us"

strawberry point iowa, after spending almost thirty years in florida, working for a big chain restaurant. she just recently celebrated her seventh year as a restaurant owner.. back home country cookin was a staple in the community, and so is she. marlene "brenda called me about 10 til 2 so i sat with her and we watched while the building burned" marlene gould and amanda shilhanek are some of they set up a gofundmepage right after the fire. amanda "back home is such an intricate part of our lives, and you dont realize it til its gone" landis says the support has been overwhelming-- "not realizing how much we meant, to the community" from people all over the country, and right here at home. amanda "it will be rebuilt, this town will not let it die"

a domestic disturbance call at the soapy waters laundramat. we're told the officer was speaking with brocks when he punched him. that knocked him unconcious, causing him to fall and hit his the police scanner during the incident. "i'm out at soapy waters." (man screams) "215 can you start to soapy waters?" big day. and for some candidates, like marco rubio, who's polling in third here in iowa..it's necessary. kwwl's lauren moss attending rubio's town hall today in waverly- she joins us now live with more... waverly was just one of three stops in eastern iowa for rubio today. his schedule is jam-packed because as you mentioned...he's doing anything he can to convince all iowans, he's the one for the job. the waverly country club was packed with people of all ages- eager to hear rubio's plans. he spoke on a variety of topics including- isis, gun rights, and religious freedom. now, as you may know, rubio's faith is very important to him. it's something he has talked about throughout his entire campaign..but today, a local atheist asked him how he would uphold his rights...and here's how rubio responded... "i know you are in the small minority here of people that share that view that you have..but you have a right to it me. here's why.. you know what my faith teaches me? my faith teaches me i have an obligation
