well, a powerful winter storm is expeced to hit the nation's capitol. people are bring themselveve for what's about to come -- but...despite the storm, the "march for life" rally is still on. and thousands of people, including several dubuquers are there. on this date -- january 22nd -- thousands go to washington d-c every year to march in opposition of roe vs wade. it's the 43rd anniversary of the supreme court's decision to make abortions legal. this year -- the annual rally wasn't cancelled, despite the weather. dubuquer's also felt it and the march and we will be leaving right afterwards." now, there's a big group from the area that headed out there -- five bus loads of people. they say, when the rally began at

just started. the group from dubuque was planning to return saturday, but to avoid to brunt of the storm, they left right after the march. dubuque...shirley descorbeth... .kwwl news. also in attendance at the march for life rally were senator joni ernst and republican presidential candidate carly fiorina. this year's theme was "pro-life and pro-woman go hand- in-hand." in continuing coverage... a man arrested for allegedly rbbing a bank is now accused of calling in a bomb threat shortly before the robbery. iowa city police say this guy - clifton brinkmeyer - robbed a u-s bank in iowa city on tuesday. he was arrested for the robbery - and through investigation, officers determined the 911 call reporting the threat came from his car. that bank was robbed 20 minute after the bomb threat was called into west high school. more than two thousand students were shipped to a different locations as officers and drug dogs combed

investigators now say a fre that killed two young sisters was an accident. crawford county wisconsin sheriff's deputies say the fire started at the center of the home in wauzeka... which kept the girls from being able to escape using the staircase. lena and trinity bartels died as a result of the fire. investigators haven't been able to determine the exact cause of the fire. an early wake up for iowa state students camping out before monday's game - because their tent starts on fire. ames s irefighters responded to the tent fire outside of hilton coliseum around 3:30 this morning. no one was hurt... firefighters say the fire was starated by a propane hhater inside e e tent being too close to flamable material in the tent. the cyclones take on university of kansas on monday. a former u-n-i stand-out is taking his talents all the way to charlotte, north carolina this weekend to battle it out for the n-f-c

did significant damage to a number of homes this grant will help mitigate those types of flooding risks and help improve water quality throughout our state. dubuque will be getting 31 and a half millions dollars to assist in flood repair - specifically to go towards the bee branch watershed project that would help mitigate flash flooding issues. production is halted on a popular brand of bagged salads -- after someone who ate it died. the center for disease control says one person died in michigan and at least 12 people across six the infected salads were called dole, fresh selections, simple truth, marketside, the little salad bar, and president's choice. the c-d-c is recalling all packaged salads produced at the plant. changes are coming to the academy - after an outcry over a nation.
