republicans will be battling for the final word in tonight's presidential debate. the biggest topic involving the debate is front- runner donald trump skipping the debate. trump is skipping because he said he was treated unfairly in the first fox debate back in august. regardless, the show goes on and the remaining candidates will be lookiningain some ground on trump who's lead continues to grow in iowa. the debate is set for eight tonight and will be broadcasted on fox news channel. even though trump is skipping the debate, he will still be busy campaigning. trump will host an event to benefit veterans organizations tonight at drake university. the event is scheduled to begin at 8-pm...which will be the same time as the fox news debate. two other republican candidates will be joining trump at his event - gov. mike huckabee and sen. rick santorum. both candidates said they are free at that time since they are in

fellow candidates ae weighing in on trump's decision to skip tonnght's debatee senator marco rubio is calling it all a sideshow... the republican presidential candidate has been running third in the polls in iowa behind trump and cruz. he says it's time for the campaigns to get serious... and senator ted cruz...who's polling in second behind trump in iowa...continues to challenge trump to a one-on-one debate...
