romney by point one percent. last night, santorum received iowa. in 2008, mike huckabee won the republican caucus over mitt romney, and barack obama won the democratic caucus - beating john edwards. in 2004, john kerry took the top spot for the democrats. and in 2000, george w. bush received the republican caucus over steve forbes and al gore won the democratic caucus, beating out bill bradley by nearly 30 percent. our kwwl team went to caucus sites across eastern iowa. kwwl's olivia mancino was ii black hawk county and reports at it was a big night here at voiced their opinions on candidates, and you really got a trump, others voiced their support for candidates like ben carson and rand paul i spoke to a caucser after everything was counted "i thought it was very good, efficient,, well organized, things were calmed, i can bumping people, everything was squared away" he says his candidate didnt win
