a terrifying construction accident in the big apple today --killing one person take a look at the crawler crane collapsing here in new york city. authorities say at least one pedestrian was killed and three others were hurt. mark barger with more tonight.. collapse .. is underway. mark barger. nbc news. authorities say the area may not be opened to traffic until monday the water crisis in flint michigan cooinuing -- anddnow eastern iowans are lending a hand. the tap water was contaminated with lead after the source switched from detroit to the flint river inin2014... a cost-cutting move made while the city was under state financial management. the organization resources unite in dubuqueeis collectitig bottled water people in flint. a number of people from the tri-stte area getting involved with this effort -- like local businesses and schools. they sayy it's a great ww to help the people in need of clean water.

weekend--their teacher kissing a buffalo. yes, you heard that right. kwwl's brad hanson was in east dubuque as this all went down today. and brad--this was actually an incentive in a fundraiser. that's right--the east dubuque elementary school held a food drive--bringing in nearly 500 pounds of food total. but it was one class who brought nats kids playing with buffalo ell it's something you won't tonya link, kissing a baby like kissing my dog." the kiss lasting mere seconds--but this class' time

two small planes near the los angeles harbor. they say witnesses reported at least one plane crashing into the water -- but the f- a-a says a second was also involved. the coast guard and other rescue crews are searching but so far no survivors have been found. the numebr of people on a child is killed while trying to rescue a family member from a

rereatives say the 12-year-old boy went back into the burning home in pennsylvania to look for his father who just underwent surgery. fire crews eventually pulling up as neighbors looked on. they say the father did make it out alive -- but the boy unfortunately did not. the cause of the fire remains under ininestigation. one person is dead after a train collides with a truck. it happened earlier this afternoon in north texas. highway paaol says the truck was driving on a private road when it pulled onto the tracks. the driver was seriously injured and the passenger was killed. nobody was hurt on the train. coming up next... the cyclone basketball team gets dealt a big blow with the suspension of big man jameel mc-kay -- one day bebeore a
