ordering the removal of tigers and lemurs from a northeast iowa zoo... the ruling is considered a victory for a group of plaintiffs that sued the cricket hollow zoo outside of manchester -- under grounds that the animals live in dirty enclosures and given dirty water... while also having inadequate medical care... the suit claimed that the poor five tiger deaths at the facility since 2013... the judge has ordered that the animals be transferred in the next 90 days... an update on the iowa legislature-- today, the senate passed a bill to stop the privatization of medicaid of iowa. the bill aims to end contracts with the companies et to take over management of the state's medicaid program. governor branstad insists handing over care would improve

turning now to big national news -- as the standoff at a wildlife reserve in oregon appears to be coming to a close today.... the final four people still expected to surrender to a police barracade soon... they said during a live stream conference wednesday night, they were prepared to leave the tensions were high last night after the f-b-i surrounded the campsite -- but no shots were fired... today marks day 41 of the occupation at the refuge... cliven bundy -- who is the meanwhile... intense news out of mexico this morning -- where a prison riot has resulted in at least 50 deaths... officials at the prison believe a fight between leaders of rival gangs ignited both the riot and an ensuing fire at the building... twelve more are injured -- indcluding five that are in critical condition... the riot started late last night and was under control within an hour -- but the nearly two hours of battle rpoved to be deadly... three inmates were stabbed to death at the same prison in

an eastern iowa pastor uses her abilities to give back -- on the other side of the world... she traveled to an island in greece to help refugees... kwwl's amanda gilbert joins us live in the newsroom... she caught up with the pastor about her journey... waverly pastor deborah coble wise journeyed to greece with 6 other united methodist leaders... she decided to do this after learning that her own sister-in-law was a refugee from vietnam that traveled to the united states in the 70s... "baby crying" that's a common sound on a greek island right now... "this is a photo album i put island with six other pastors. "so it was pretty neat to bond and meet them.
