student - hanxiang ni - was recently expelled - he claims because of what he posted online. the university confirms they recently investigated a "concerning comment" -- but won't tell us who wrote it. kwwl's kristin rogers has been working to connect the dots all day, she joins us live. that's right and as you mentioned the university told me they can't say too much. i was told the comment was investigated by their threat assessment team and necessary procautions were taken to make sure campus was safe. many remember the horrible tradgety in 1991 when a student named gang lu shot t nd killed 5 people and seriously injured another before turning the gun on himself. social media before he was expelled. the post they obtained says he would quote "let his professors experience the fear of lu gang." the university tells us ni is not longer a student but he had been this semester; however, because of student privacy laws, they won't tell us university tells me they take every threat seriously and a top priority is protecting their students." according to the johnson county sheriffs office

it happened at the iowa auto rebuilders shop around 6:15 this morning the business wasn't open yet... but a few employees saw the commotion from inside kwwls oliviva mancino joins us liveeight now with the details when i spoke to people at the auto body shop this morning, they weren't quite sure what was going on, needless to say they were very surprised by the news heres video from this morning-- fire truck and ambulance crews assisted the woman in the parking lot the auto body shop wasn't open yet, but some employees were in early one employee says he saw a mmn run from the car to the ambulance with "five minutes later...there was an ambulance and a fire truck right where i pulled in this possibly someone got hurt" popelka says they had to direct some traffic from nearby shops around the

at the lake of the ozarrs. anthony piercy was charged in december in the 2014 death of 20-year-old brandon ellingson of suburban des moines. piercy arrested ellingson for boating while intoxicated. witnesses say piercy placed an already buckled life vest over properly secure it. ellingson's life vest came off shortly aaer he went into the water - - later drowned. two women accused of staging a bank robbery are both sentenced to five years in prison. nineteen-year-old heaven zevenbergen and 18-year-old angelica perez were sentenced in separate hearings wednesday in sioux city. prosecutors say perez entered a bank branch at a hy-vee supermarket last august in a disguise, and warned zevenbergen that she was then a bank teller, knew ppez and gave her $10,000. an eastern iowa pastor uses her abilities to give back -- on the other

she traveled to an island in greece to help refugees after she learned her sister-in-law was a refugee in the seventies. kwwl's amanda gilbert has the story tonight. it's a key battle good evening im zach grant... the fourth ranked iowa hawkeyes travel to assembly hall in indiana for a big matchup with the hoosiers. iowa riding a three game winning streak sits atop the big ten standings with a 10-1 record. indiana is a game behind the hawkeyes with a 9-2 mark... the hoosiers can force a three way tie for the ig ten lead with iowa and maryland with a victory tonight. the game matches the two highest scoring teams in the big ten---with the hawks number one and indiana third and the hawks fourth. iowa
