three people were hurt in the pile-up in cedar county yesterday... investigators say traffic was backed up on interstate 80 for hours... iowa state patrol deputies tell us those who were injured are expected to be okay. an iowa state campus bus driver... pleads not guilty in a deadly hi and run. benjamin clague faces a charge of leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death - he entered a written plea this morning. the victim -- urbana native emmalee jacobs -- was a freshman at iowa state. she died at the scene in december. police used video from cyride buses as part of the investigation. a 19-year-old dies after falling off of a moving truck. it happened on dutch hollow road near potosi wisconsin. investigators say kyle vosberg set the cruise control on a truck at 30 miles an hour, got out and tried to stand on the running board as the truck was moving. deputies say vosberg slipped and fell from the truck. he was flown to the university of iowa hospitals and clinics

justice scalia recent reports show an astern iowa ciiuit court judge is on the short list. jane kelly sits as a federal court of appeals judge in cedar rapids. she's been mentioned as a possible nomination. kwwls olivia mancino joins us live to tell us what this means for eastern iowa the overwhelming majority of supreme court justices right now are from the east coast-- if jane kelly y ere to be nominated by president obama and confirmed by the senate, she would diversify the supreme court-- at least geographically. kelly has been mentioned in the news many times-- notably iithe early 2000s when someone attacked her while she was jogging on a cedar rapids trail her attacker has still never been fond, but her professional life has moved forward. after serving many years as a public defender, kelly was appointed to the circuit court of appeals in 2013-- experts say if appointed to the supreme court, she'd bring an interesting background to the table. a man dies after his mobile home catctces fire thissorning. ronald jacobs and his wife karen were inside at the time, ronald was 72. it happened just after 7-30 this morning in the 3700 block of th avenue sw-- in cedarapids. kwwl's kristin rogers was on scene this morning, she joins us live. it's a very sad day here, a life lost and a home is nearly

neighbors tell me ronald and karen lived in this neighborhood for about years and ronald had just all but overcome cancererat the time of the fire. a life lost and a home is nearly for about 50 years and ronald had just all but not a lot of damage can be seen from the outside of the home but remnants of what turned out to be a deadly fire can be seen through soot above window after wiow and on doors , those who saw the fire say from the outside said they mostly noticed a lot of smoke, others down the street didn't even know there had been a fire here. both ronald and karen were taken out of the home by the fire dead at the scene, he was 72. the fire department tells us the home has extensive fire and smoke damage but they were able to prevent it from spreading to any nearby homes, by putting id out cedar rapids, kristin rogers...kwwl news. the fire department tells us
