a couple people from the group "why courts matter iowa" was represented at this meeting and said they planned going to others later today as well. they directly asked the senator if he planned to follow his duties under the constitution. the heat was on in smmll library. the hot topic, his stance on obama nominating a replacement for jusice scalia on the supreme court. the answer to most of the questions included the same phrase (cg: chuck grassley/ senator) "i'm not holding back` i'm taking it a step at a time." "i'm saying we're goin to takak it a step at the time." "i think i'm pretty clear this should carry over to the next with us eventually." a number of questions were asked throughout the meeting but nearly all of them relating to the supreme court nomination had the same answer. two people from the group called "why courts mater iowa" was also in attendence....concerned with how grassley may handle the

needed. thursday and friday scheduled for a former cyride bus driver facing two charges after an ames hit-and-run accident. benjamin clague's trial is set to begin april fifth. clague is charged for leaving an accidee that resulteddin a death. authorities say clague was driving the bus near the iowa state campus when the busstruck 18-yearmold emmalee jacobs. she died later at a hospital. online court records shows clague pleaded not guilty yesterday to leaving the scene of a fatal accident - he already pleaded not guilty to his other charge the official cause o o the house fire, that killed one man and sent his wife to the hospital, is listed as undetermined. cedar rapids fire officials couldn't determine the cause based on the amount of fire damage in the living room. however, smoking materials are considered a factor. the wife was taken to the

injuries and is in critical condition. the fire department also says their pet cat died at the scene. a teenager tragicially dies after riding on the running boards of his truck. it happened on the border of iowa in grant county, wisconsin. kwwl's shirley descorbeth is live from the th media newsroom in dubuque with more. shirley... kyle vosberg died innhis accident -- law enforcement officials tell me if his friends made a different decision, vosberg may have survived. early friday mornrnng -- four friends were taking a ride, which ended tragically. the grant county sheriff's office says 19-year-old kyle vosberg was driving his 2011 dodge ram ruck - simillr to this one. he set the cruise control at 30 miles per hour, climbed out of the drivers seat, and stood on the running boards as he was steering the truck from the outside. but while he was trying to get

and fell on the road. his friends took him to his house -- instead of calling 911. nurses office. doug wilkinson - a high school english teacher inncedar falls - faces multiple charges of theft and unlawful possession of prescription drugs. criminal complaints say he was caught on surveillance video stealing prescriptions from a cabinent in the nurse's office at holmes junior high. he's also charged with filing a the cedar fallss chool district tells us they're dealing with this as a personell issue. police respond to a university dorm after reports there was a man videotaping woman in the shower. university of iowa police were called last night to burge hall when a woman reported a man allegedly trying to videotape females in the shower. as the officer was taking statements, a tip came there was somebody in the female's bathroom. the officer eventually found a male hiding in one of the stalls - these are pictures from a police body cam... a fight broke out between the two and the suspect fled the

they are still looking for the suspect - butthis is what h h looks like... take a close look, and if you recognize him, calls police. a man in southern iowa is charged with sexually assaulting a two- nth-old girl. justin stickrod is charged with child endangerment and sexual abuse. the monroe county sheriff's office received a report of a child being sexualllassaulted on februrury fourth. the baby was transported to blank children's hospital in des moines. authorities say the infant is recovering. decision 2016... the feud between republican presidential front-runner donald trump and rival jeb bush escalates when a website with bush's name redirects to trump's campaign website. when you go to jeb buuh dot com - it redirects you to trumpmps website. according to the daily caller, the site is not registered to anyone on the bush's campain. trump's campaign denies any involvement. bush's official campaign page
