thousands of iowans are waiting to hear whether or not the edicaid transition wiil happen... by march first -- the state's medicaid program is supposed to switch to three private companies. it's been a cause of concern for many people -- including legislators. the transition was delayed because the federal government said there weren't enough health providers that signed contracts with the companies. provider network in iowa is still very thin, and their topeople with dsabilites, to our seniors in nursing homes and so on." governor branstad says privitzing it will save the state 51- millio dollars in the first six mont. right now -- the state senate has aa ll to try and top the transition... this weekend- many people are the annual dubuque on ice brew-fest.

in store for the end of the week. i'll have that forecast for you in a few minutes. recapping our top story this morning -- at least 6 people were killed overnight in michigan. authorities in kalamazoo county are calling it- random shootings... the do have a 45-year-old man in custody on suspicion of committing the shootings... four people were shot and killed in the parking lot of a restaurant with another badly injured there -- while two more were killed at a nearby car dealership....among the dead is an eight-year-old... a washington state murder suspect who led police on a wild car chase is dead after a roadside shoot- out with officers. more than a dozen troopers chased the suspect.
