courthouse in kalamazoo. the county prosecutor says he believes they have the right man and he is ready to file charges. this is a person who is accused of going on shooting rampapae across this city saturday night. three separate shootings. apparently choosing his victims at random. killing six of them injuring two others. those two remain in the hospital we're told with very serious injuries this morning. last night there was a vigil for theevictims here in kalamazoo and people are really able to pull through. sot mya hoke / friend of victim :41-:50 really think about it because it doesn't affect youubut then this s its ot just your ommunity but your friend. as for a motive, we just we are hoping to maybe glean more information today in this court appearance. but by all accounts this was a normal guy. neighbors say he never showed signs of being erratic before. he was a rides between the first shooting and when he was arrested six hours later.

tonight and tomorrow morning. today, we will keep mainly cloudy to partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s this afternoon. we have a few rain and snow showers that may track through tomorrow. i'll have more on that coming up in a few minntes. an iowa woman is accused of setting her boyfriend on fire. it happened last night in des moines just after 7 o'clock. police say they found medics treating a burned man who was yelling that his girlfriend set him on fire. police arrested this des moines woman - -who lived with the man. she's now in custody with a 100- thousand-dollar bail. everyone is safe folllowing an overnight fire in iowa city. firefighters went to 11 arthur street just after two- thirty this morning they saw fire coming from a second story window. everyone got out of the apartment on their own -- they're now being helped by the red cross. the cause is still being investtated.

this bus just beginning its trip from chicago to minneapolis when it caught fire in illinois. passengers say they smelled rubber from the start of their trip. at one point -- they heard a loud pop -- and then a big explosion. when i heard the first boom i s in the bathroom and i could was fire coming from everywhere. the cause of the fire is being investigated. one of chicago's most wanted fugitives -may be hererein eastern iowa. the u-s marshals office is asking for help finding 22- year-old kevin edwards. he's wanted for the murder of nine-year-old tyshawn lee in november. authortities say hh left illinois and has ties here in eastern iowa -- and is considered armed and dangerous... we talked to the

investigators have a lead in a decades-old iowa cold case. but they need someone's help. michelle martinko was killed in the westdale mall parking lot in december 1979. police say there's been a development in the case. officers have additional questions for a former tipster. anyone th information is asked to call police. later today, bill cosby's wife will answer questions under oath. cosby's attorneys are still fighting to stop it. the case focuses on seven women who are suing cosby for defamation. they say he called them liars -- after they accused him of sexual assault. cosby has been charged with assault in pennsylvania. he says he's innocent. continuing coverage...the debate over the future of iowa's medicaid program continues as some question whether the state is ready for a major change. by march first -- the state's medicaid program is supposed to switch to three private companies. the transition was delayed because

a major sexual discrimination lawsuit. six women are accussing the university of tennessee of turning a blind eye to sexual misconduut...involvi ng some student athletes. the head football coach claims the culture at the university enables assault... "you know when you just look at the academic excellence, the field, there's no culure problem." the lawsuit accuses the university of mishandling reports of sexual assaults by athletes, p prticularly football players. a miami woman is in a coma after police say she was attacked by her roommate -- who she found on craigslist. police say the 23-year-old was attacked n valentine's ay. she's been inn coma ever since. her roommate is being held on attempted murder charges for allegedly beating and cutting the woman. he claims he acted in self defnese after she came after him
