police catch an escaped mental patient on their steet..just blocks from covenant hospital. i looked out the window and him down on the ground, handcuffing him. and he was screaming bloody murder that they were going to kill him or police say 36 year old joshua rohner was in the emergency room before he stole an ambulance and took off.. crews are seen here repairing the damages after he alegedly drove out through a closed door. he didnt make it too far...police say he ditched the ambulance and was walking down lindner get into my neighbor's truck and then he saw my truck in the driveway and i saw him walking up the driveway." rohner's father reached out to kwwl after the news broke..saying his son was at covenant for a drug and mental health evaluation. he says his son is a good man but he's struggling with drug addiction right now...he's hoping his son can receive the help he needs..he was also

footage highlight the first afternoon of testimony in the alexander fazzino trial. alexander fazzino is facing first degree murder charges, after his wife, emily fazzino, was found dead in their boone home in 2012. emily is the daughter of the chairman of the board for fareway stores....granddaug hter of the founder of fareway the high profile case moved to winneshiek county to avoid seating an impartial jury. kwwl's brad hanson in court for us today as this trial got underway. and brad, give us an idea of the feeling in the courtroom today. tensions and emotions running high today as the trial officially got underway. and there weren't many dry eyes in the room as jurors heard and saw some of the events of the night of emily's death.

body camera footage from the night of emily's death family members for both sides in tears as they listened to a frantic alex fazzino lead police to the bathroom where his wife died. nats more screaming all part of an emotional first day of testimony in the trial of alex fazzino, accused of murdering his wife. family members also struggled as fazzimo's call to 9-1-1 was replayed. nats "she's dead" boone police officer john wiebold recalls the scene after meeting fazzino at the door. (john wiebold, boone police officer) "he said, come on please, we entered the house with him. he was moving towards the back of the house, i followed. he said, get my kids please. went through, past emily fazzino lying naked on the bathroom floor." wiebold and many others attempted cpr on fazzino that night. but how she got

crossroads hy-vee this afternoon. according to police an old man mistakenly put his car in drive and wasn't able to stop before hitting five other cars parked in the handicap section in front of hy-vee. the city of dubuque is working on next year's budget -- but one line item is going to cost taxpayers... all because of street lights. kwwl's shirley descorbeth is live from the t-h media newsroom with the details. shirley? that's right. the public works department is asking for an extra 285-thousand dollars. it's because alliant energy somehow didn't bill dubuque for all of the city-owned street lights. the city of dubuque owns about two thousand street lights and alliant energy owns slighty confusion. "they own some lights, we own some lights, they own some poles and lights -- it's a very their information." an audit shows alliant energy discovered it failed to bill dubuque for all the city owned lights. and now -- the city must

the year we're in right now, we found that we're falling behind 13-thousand dollars a month in our street lights billing." so now, the public works department is asking for a significantly higher budget for next year. "and that's an increase of over 285-thousand dollars. the city manager wouldn't come out and call it a billing snafu." "you can call it whatever you want...no, i wouldn't call it that." but city manager mike van millgen says there's cushion in the budget to pay for the lights without affecting other areas. so once again -- the mix-up means the city will have to pay 13-thousand dollars more per month starting july. so once again -- the mix-up means

coach jake is urging panther fans to arrive by 6:45 wednesday night for a special senior send-off it has been a rough couple of weeks for the eighth ranked iowa hawkeye men's basketball program. the hawks have lost two of their last three games but can still move into a tie for first place in the big ten with a victory wednesday wisconsin. the hawkeyes will be looking to rebound from a tough loss last week at penn state. tomorrow night the hawkeyes will play the badgers for the only time in the regular season. this will also be the first time the hawks will play the badgers under interim head coach retired.
