accidenttl shooting o o an eastern iowa man this morning. according to the black hawk county sheriff's office -- the incident happened in elk run heights after 12-30 thisorning. they say he dropped a handndun while he was getting out if his car. they believe it then went off when it hit the ground -- and hit his leg. he was then taken to the hospital -- where he died from his injuries. countytysheriff's office -- the gun used in the incident was a 38- caliber handgun -- a smaller pistol like the one you see here. stay tuned to kwwl online as this story develops. continuing coverage of the fazzino trial today... as health issues are preventing the chairman of the board for fareway stores, richard beckwith, from taking the stand today in the trial of alex fazzino... fazzino is accused of killing his wife, emily, in their boone home in 2012. beckwjth couldn't take the stand this morning, but had his testimony tataen earlier, and that was read in court. he testified that although he

an update -- following accidental shooting of an eastern iowa man this morning... we now know that the person who died is 4545year-old martin lawrence, of elk run heights according to the black hawk county sheriff's office -- the incident happened in elk run heights after 12-30 this morning. they say he dropped a handgun while he was getting out if his car. they believe it then went off when it hit the ground -- and hit his leg. he was then taken to the hospital -- where he died from his injuries. the shooting has also been an

lattt on kwwl. today, we're learning more about the nation's latest mass shoting. at least four people were killed.. incluung the gunman... and 14 others injured. a gunman went on a shooting rampage where he works in kansas. sarah plake has the latest from kansas... workers inside rural kansas plant described a chaotic scene. "everybody was nning, people were screaming, people over four people were killed... including the gunman, 14 others wounded... five critically. witnesses say the suspect.. cedric larry ford... who was an employee of the excel industries plant.. was armed with an assault style weapon and a handgun. police say ford also shot and wounded three people he encountered on the way to the plant before he went inside and opened fire.
