continuing our flood coverage. a big development this morning out of cedar rapids. the city plans to welcome back homeowners and businesses tomorrow. about six- thousand were asked to leave by sunday night before the cedar river crested. the city said people can start moving back tomorrow at noon. the entireat reopen to the public on saturday morning. "to all the businesses i want to say welcome back - cedar rapids is open for business - and cedar rapids is back in business." mayor corbett also giving a special thank you to everyone at their hard work preparing for the high water. tomorrow will also be the last day

we'll live stream that on our website. it took 48 hours to put up the ten miles of hesco barriers. the city wants everyone to be patient -- because it will take time to take it all down. some barriers are already being taken apart. the linn county sheriff's office tweeted this video. the sheriff says the basement has some water in it. the office will reopen to the public monday. the grueling job of cleaning comes with aue will that city get help from the federal government? we might not know the answer for some time, but we do know fema is in town today -- looking at the flood damage. about 150 homes took on water. the city clerk hopes after fema visits today -- the federal government will consider giving the city money and equipment to recover. they need more equipment to help them pump water out of homes and businesses. one business in clarksville

dollars to fix all the damage caused by the flooding. v-t industries -- which makes doors -- took on about three feet of water. they have to replace some of their electrical equipment and machines. the bottom four feet of their walls also had to be removed. this flood damage comes just a few weeks after the company celebrated their 60 year anniversary. the shell rock river was the it's the wapsi in olin. a woman had to canoe to her home because it's surrounded by water. some city streets are covered, water is creeping right up to the edges of many homes and other buildings. the flooding is also taking it's toll on farmers -- one seeing water on nearly 400 acres of land. "i can't believe, just so many people has came and help me." her neighbors just down the road still dealing with deep flood waters. fema is also warning people all over eastern iowa to be careful when they go back to check on their home. fema wants people to keep an eye on possible health hazards. carbon monoxide poisoning is a concern. so is the threat of being electrocuted -- from stepping in water where live electric wires have fallen. a disaster like this can be heartbreaking, uplifting and maddening all at the same time. here's an example of something

cedar falls -- the living water church was filled with supplies. people bringing in donations and flood victims collecting what they need. however some of the people taking supplies -- haven't been flood victims. one family even using fake tears to sell their lie. noon today in bremer county. crews are getting a better look at the damage. they've been visiting neighborhoods in plainfield, waverly, and janesville. they haven't been able to get in touch with every person affected by flooding. they're asking you to call the they can get information from you - which they need to pass along to iowa homeland security. waterloo police are investigating a crime at riverfront stadium during the flooding. someone stole an ipad, a tv, hd cameras and a radar gun between friday and tuesday morning. no arrests have been made. here are more pictures of flooding from the past week. these pictures are from the city of

was spared... but there is some flooding damage in the city -- and in other parts of black hawk cedar rapids -- the evacuation area is shrinking. 25-hundred people were told yesterday they could go back to their homes and businesses in cedar rapids. then this morning -- the rest of the homeowners and business owners evacuated were told they could start moving back tomorrow. as people are getting rid of sanbags from their homes -- it landfill if the sand never gets wet -- it can be reused. the cedar rapids/linn county solid waste agency has a few stips. sand can be used in the yard mixed with soil you can use it around your home -- adding it to latex paint cans helps dry them out. or you could build your own sandbox for kids. police could be getting closer to

kidnapped in massachusetts. days later -- her body was found in the woods. now police are putting together sketches of the suspect -- based on d-n-a evidence. thing he was pointing -- was an electronic smoking devide. police say he held it in both hands and a quote shooting stance. video of the shooting has not been released by investigators, but has been viewed by the distraught. a man who was acting in ways that looked like he was in great pain. and i saw him get gunned down and killed. and it broke my heart." the two officers involved in the shooting, both 21 year veterans of the department, have been placed on administrative leave. a massive fire breaks out in georgia this morning. a large warehouse caught fire and the roof collapsed under the heat and flames. no one was inside the building and so far there are no reports of any injuries. the cause of the fire is under investigation. rescued after being buried under a pile of rubble.
