death of a four-year-old iowa girl. good evening everyone, i'm ron steele. and i'm amanda goodman. thanks for joining us. 32-year-old chad little now charged with first degree murder and child endangerment in the death of four- year-old gracie buss his fiance --31- year-old kristi buss is charged with child endangerment resulting in death. her daughter gracie died a few unconscious in their home last year. kwwl's elizabeth amanieh is live in the newsroom. elizabeth. amanda/ron-the autopsy shows gracie died of severe head trauma. in an interview with kwwl last year-relatives said they believed her injuries were caused by someone. now-both mom and her fiance are being charged in the death of gracie buss. after 18 months of searching for answers-a step closer in justice for gracie.

who said they believed the fairbank "gracies in a much better place. i know she's with god and she's with her aunti heather. and she's happy, buss is facing charges of child endangerment resulting in death. the criminal complaint reveals kristi's fiance- chad little had been living with kristi and her two police "little would physically beat" gracie a lot and another witness had told police little got in argument with buss and threw something at her-but gracie got in the way. kristi-who was interviewed by officers initially told police gracie had fallen down the stairs the night before. later changing her story-saying gracie "fell down the stairs just hours before, not the night before." and in a third

police are investigating after an 18-year-old is stabbed and killed. the victim found-- at the reserve apartments in the 6700 block of college park court southwest in cedar rapids around two this morning. kwwl's kristin rogers joins us live from the cedar rapids police department with more--kristin? well it's a mystery police are still working to solve-- we know an 18- year-old young d friends of the victim--still in shock--after they say--they watched the 18-year-old struggle for life. "he was bleeding from his chest and he was gasping for air." they say--they saw a stab wound--and saw the knife-- but they aren't sure what happened--or exactly where their friend came from--deric--only knowing him for a couple of days. he kept begging to, praying like he would live like he was like showing up at t he apartment they were at ---for help.

will issue full refunds to anyone who had booked through the end of the season. president obama issuing a disaster declaration four eight counties in iowa affected by storms last month. to be clear, this is not for the most recent flooding in eastern iowa -- but the storms in august. the counties included are allamakee, chickasaw, claytoon, fatette, floyd, howard, mitchell and winneshiek. this coming after significant damage caused by the storms and flooding. a local market is closing after several years of business. the riverloop public market cooperative in downtown waterloo shutting down. the city owns the building and is not renewing the lease that expired last month. the market failed to survive

an iowa prosecutor is accused of sexually harassing employees and drinking during a trial. supervisors are now trying to remove the van buren county attorney abraham watkins. according to the petition, watkins made inappropriate comments about a co-worker's body and appeared drunk while prosecuting a trial. waterloo firefighters offer new technology that let's them respond to people quicker. kwwl's macleod hageman joins us live with it's called a knox box. it hooks on top of the door --- and holds a key to get inside. take a look. through a 20- thousand dollar grant -- the fire department was able to buy 134 of these boxes -- and they plan to give them to people who have trouble moving around. fire captain bill harter says it allows them to get to people in their homes -- without breaking down doors or windows. "it's great, and thank goodness to max and helen guernsey foundation for making this happen. and knox provided a discount on
