after devastating floods swept the area. volunteers in many parts of north cedar today -- including cottage row. one home owner was forced from his home last week -- is now being helped by volunteers to get items from his saturated home. insulation and other items are wet -- and were thrown into a pile next to the road. "being able to help a guy lilke know how hard it is for me and for my family to go through it and patrick's situation is so much different" patrick says he wants to get back into his home as soon as possible. clean-up efforts will continute tomorrow. if you'd like to help -- you can an 18-year-old man is identified in a cedar rapids stabbing death. police say christopher arteberry

67-hundred block of college park court south west in cedar rapids around two friday morning. witnesses say he showed up to the apartment with a hole in his chest. police will continue investigating the circumstances around the deadly incident. at this hour -- no arrests have been made. the body of a missing decorah hunter is found in park county, montana. mark rollins was last seen septemember 20th by a group of hunters in the crazy mountains. the park county sheriff says wednesday where he went missing. authorities say it looks like he feel off a cliff. a search for rollins started tuesday near willsall, montana. friends and family say rollings was in good physical condition with no known medical issues. an iowa sex offender is caught in florida. randy eschen was charged with two counts of sexual abuse -- but released with the use of a g-p-s monitoring device. eschen was arrested in cocoa, florida last month. oelwein police helped with the

united states marshals. the remains of a former slave buried in eastern iowa -- honored with a monument. he was involved in the state's first supreme court case. kwwl's shirley descorbeth reports. here in an unmarked plot at linwood cemetery...lies nearly 150-years following his death...he's getting a gravestone. "he had the courage to leave mines of dubuque." community members honoring his legacy. "ralph montgomery was the subject of the very first iowa montogomery originally born with the name rafe nelson...came to work in dubuque's lead mines. he left missouri...agreeing to pay his slave master 550-dollars plus interest to be free. but after five years...he still couldn't afford to pay off the debt. he was then considered a fugitive...even bounty hunters were sent after him. montgomery showed courage and sued for his
