time. the cause remains under investigation. the body of a missing decorah hunter is found in montana. mark rollins was last seen septemember 20th by a group of hunters in the crazy mountains. the county sheriff says his body was found wednesday in the mountains..it appears that he fell off a cliff.. friends and family are in shock- saying he was in good physical condition with no known medical issues. continuing coverage: cedar rapids police release the name of an 18-yea o they say christopher arteberry junior was found -- at an apartment building in the 67-hundred block of college park court south west in cedar rapids around two friday morning. the victim's friends say he showed up -- with a stab wound to the chest. police will continute investigating the case. a man from storm lake is arrested and charged in the alcohol-related death of a teenager. marcelino flores was arrested thursday for contributing to a

month - from drinking too much. an iowa sex offender on the run- is caught in florida. randy eschen was charged with two counts of sexual abuse -- but released with the use of a g-p-s monitoring device. authorities say he somehow deactivated it..and took off.. he was found and arrested in cocoa, florida last month. oelwein police helped with the investigation -- along with the iowa is receiving money to test and track kits used to investigate sexual assaults. the department of justice iowa's department of justice receiving one million -- after getting two million dollars in 20-15. many of these cases have been held up in iowa because there are so many untested kits. the remains of a former slave buried in eastern iowa -- honored with a monument this weekend. he was involved in the state's first supreme court case. kwwl's shirley descorbeth reports. here in an unmarked plot at linwood cemetery...lies

black man dies after being tasered by police. more than one hundred people gathered in front of the apartment where the man lived. he died friday morning. after being shocked and handcuffed, police noticed that he was not breathing. the l-a-p-d is investigating a deadly officer- involved shooting at the end of a car chase in los angeles. this happened yesterday. authorities say the man lead police on a car chase. he then got out of the car and 18-years-old. "while in ther at wesrnte and 106th street, a officers gave chase, a foot pursuit, and went eastbound on 107th street to the rear of a residence. it was at that time that the officer-involved shooting occurred." police say the car he was driving was reported as stolen. hundreds took to the streets one

after police released video of a deadly shooting of an unarmed black man in california. protests began in the morning at a rally, where leaders came together, speaking about the police shooting of the 38- year-old. a peaceful march followed... 77 people are hurt this morning after a gas cylinder explodes in spain. this happened last night. a festival was underway when the cyclinder exploded inside a cafe. authorities say five people are being treated for serious injuries. continuing coverage now on the new jersey train accident. the engineer of the train that crashed into a station thursday has returned home. tommy gallagher was seen arriving at his home yesterday. gallagher was seriously injured in the crash along with 100 according to the investigation, the engineer had no "red flags" in his history prior to this crash. investigators have recovered one of the event recorders from the train. they are having trouble getting information off of it though- and have since given it the the manufactorer to download the information. data from the box may be able to explain why the train failed to slow down. a deadly car bomb explodes in somali this weekend--killing four people.

intelligence officer there--was targeted in the attack. police are investigating a possible murder- suicide involving three people -- including a baby. this happening in south carolina. police say they were called to the home shortly after midnight on saturday. when they arrived..3 people were found dead -- a man, woman, and 10-month-old baby. the cause of the deaths remain under investigation. sad news this morning: the six- year-old student critically injured during a school shooting in south jacob hall passed away yesterday afternoon. in a statement, jacob's family says he taught them how to "love, laugh and smile" and he was "pure love." a four-year-old milwaukee boy dies after being shot. this happened friday night. police say the boy was shot inside a home- and was pronounced dead on the scene. a memorial dedicated to late baseball star jose fernandez was spotted floating off the florida coast. the tribute shows his initials and his famous number 16.

sunday in a boat accident off of miami beach. a 'black lives matter' protest clashes with 'white lives matter' protesters. this happening in houston. initially, 'white lives matter' was protesting against the anti -defamation league -- who they claim made negative comments about the group. but then ... 'black lives matter' ... started protesting against them. "these white people are fragile, they are white supremacists and they are extremely racist." things did get heated as the two barricades. the battle lines are being drawn in court -- over confederate monuments. should they be taken down? that's the big question facing judges in louisana. the city council voted to remove a statue of general robert e. lee and three others. the mayor wants them taken down -- after a church shooting in south carolina last year- that killed 9 people. police say the teen nehind the attack told them he wanted to start a race war.
