cedar falls. around two o- clock yesterday morning -- authorities were called to highway 57 and roosevelt street for a person hit. they say 24-year- old tristan selby was walking down highway 57 -- when they were hit by 23-year-old michael kelly. kelly was arrested for driving drunk and taken to the black hawk county jail. selby was taken to unity point hospital before before being taken to university of iowa hospital. at last check -- selby is listed in critical but stable condition. one man is dead after an early morning crash in dubuque. police say it happened shortly after one o-clock in the morning near highway 61 and old davenport road. they say two vehicles collided -- and a man died. at this hour -- the victim's name has not been released. the iowa division of criminal investigation is assisting keokuk police after a 29- year-old woman is found dead in an alley. police say they were responding to a shots fired complaint in an alley near tenth street and north fifth in keokuk. when they arrived to the

carissa rivers-- unresponsive. rivers was taken to the hosptial where she was pronounced dead. an autopsy will take place this week. at this time police are not identifying a suspect-- as the investigation is on-going. they belive this is an isolated event and the public is not in danger. one person is injured after an early morning knife assault in iowa city. police say it happened right here -- near the intersection of iowa avenue and dodge street. the victim reported he an approached by a group of people they say one of the people started to yell at the victim and his friends -- pulled out a knife -- cutting the victim's hands. the victim will be o-k. a man is in custody after a hawk alert was issued this afternoon. the university of iowa police sent out a warning to students and staff of a man with a knife in downtown iowa city. authorities say it took an hour to find the man. this is the second reported hawk alert issued by university this

football player -- troy davis -- is arrested this morning. this happened a few hours after he was honored for his induction ino the college football hall of fame. university police say the 41-year-old was arrested and charged with public intoxication on chamberlain street in ames. he was taken to the story county at iowa state -- even a runner-up in the heisman trophy ballot in 96. davis will be inducted into the december. the family of an eastern iowa man who died while hunting in montana -- mourns his loss. authorities found the body of 60- year-old mark rollins of decorah in the crazy mountains near willsall last wednesday. they say -- it looks like he fell off live from decorah with more. shirley. i'm here the downtown...where mark rollins and his wife own
